11.00am-11.45am: Feature Extraction Techniques in Spatial Domain with Case Study in Shape
Feature Models (Fundoscopy Eye Image/ MRI Tumor Image Analysis Application).
11.45am 01.15pm: Feature Extraction Techniques in Spatial & Frequency Domain with Case
Study in Texture Feature Models (Medical & NDT Image Analysis Application).
01.15pm-2.00pm: Lunch Break
2.00pm-3.30pm: Feature Extraction Techniques in Spatial & Frequency Domain with Case
Study in Orientation Feature Models (Biometrics Application).
3.30pm-3.45pm: Coffee/Tea Break

Day -2 (9.30am 5.30pm)

9.30am-10.45am: Supervised Model Design, Design of Multi-layer Feed Forward Back

Propagation Network: Training & Classification of Medical Image Data Set
(MRI/Ultrasound/Microscopic Cell Images). RBF Model Design.
10.45am-11.00am: Coffee/Tea Break.
11.00am-01.15pm: Introduction to Unsupervised Neural Network Models & its Significance.
Different types of Unsupervised Models (Feedforward & Feedback types). Design of Kohonen
Self-Organizing Map (SOM) for Data Clustering.
01.15pm-2.00pm: Lunch Break.
2.00pm-4.00pm: Introduction to Fuzzy Logic & its Applications in Image Processing with a case
study in Fuzzy Clustering Model (Medical Image Application). Fuzzy Logic in Edge Detection
& Color Based Object Detection.
4.00pm-4.15pm: Coffee/Tea Break
4.15pm-5.30pm: A case study with Genetic Algorithm to optimize the weight values of ANN
Models, Ant Colony Optimization and Bacterial Foraging Optimization.
Note:
Every Session comprises of introduction to Theoretical and Mathematical background, followed
by Hand-work Numerical Exercise and implementation in MATLAB.

Accommodation: For out-station participants, separate hostel facilities are available for
boys and girls.
Ladies Hostel: There are many ladies hostels are available within a walk able distance of
200 meters from training facility (Opp to EMG Yadava Womens College).
Rent: varies from Rs.250-Rs.400 /per day including food.
Gents Mansion: Mansions are available, very close to training facility.
Rent: varies from Rs.400-Rs.600/per day. Food facility is not available in Mansion. There
are plenty of restaurants available close to Mansion.
How to reach the venue?
From Madurai Railway Station/Periyar Bus Stand:
Take 23 series bus plying to Tiruppalai or Omachikulam or Chatrapatti or Natham, and
get down at Tiruppalai Bus Stop. From Bus stop, the venue is just 50 meters.
Auto will charge Rs.150 from Madurai Railway Station/Periyar Bus Stand.

From Mattuthavani Bus Stand:

Take any bus/mini-bus plying to Tiruppalai or Omachikulam or Chatrapatti or Natham,
and get down at Tiruppalai Bus Stop. From Bus stop, the venue is just 50 meters.
Auto will charge Rs.120 from Mattuthavani Bus Stand.
