3. Notifications
1) You should delete Fiery Express Driver or older driver from Macintosh before to install this driver. It is
for prevention of malfunction and operation error.
2) This driver is for IC-408 Version2.0 for C6500/C5500 series. This driver cannot be used for other
products.

6. Known Limitations
1) IPP printing on Mac OS 10.6, 10.7, 10.8 and 10.9: While adding a printer on Mac OS, if the 'Internet
Printing Protocol' is selected and the queue is set to 'Hold', the jobs will not reach the Fiery. This is
due to Mac OS limitation and to new changes required on the Fiery server.
2) If an older Mac OS version 10.7.x is upgraded to Mac OS version 10.9.x on the same client Mac, it is
required to remove the previous installation of the driver using the Fiery Software Uninstaller (shipped
with the DMG) and reinstall the driver. This new driver will print with all EFI-supported applications on
Mac OS 10.9.
3) While printing from an application, switching between different print queues consecutively during the
same print session causes an application crash. We believe this to be an Apple OS specific issue and
have logged a bug with Apple, and is pending resolution.
7. Mac driver installation instructions
1) Unzip the IC408_v20_PS_macOSX9_v45_R_inst_FIT98418.zip on to the desktop.
2) Decompress KM_IC408_v2_0R_FD45_v1.dmg file on the desktop.
3) If a previous version of the driver was installed on the system, click on the Fiery Software Uninstaller
to remove the existing driver component and printer object.
4) Select the User Software folder and double click on the Fiery Printer Driver.pkg.
5) If you did not log in to the Mac as an Administrator, input the password of Administrator to continue
the installation process.
6) Follow the instructions in the wizard and complete the installation.
7) If your product already includes the new Mac installer wizard, the printer will be directly installed and
does not require going to 'System Preferences' to install the printer.
