Engr, Melendres did a great job on sharing all the things he want the students to visualize. He ought to
have examples so that it is more understandable. The flow of his discussion makes the students attentive
because he throws just jokes in between his lecture. Overall, I learned a lot and time was well spent
hearing something from a dedicated professional.
This interesting seminar caught my attention. Why? Because I didnt know that there is an easier
way to simulate designs and it has been made to make the users understand the whole concept of the
design. I am a communications major so, I have a limited knowledge regarding software and such about
designing devices and components. But, I am fortunate to attend this seminar because it taught me a lot
of things related to electronics. Engr. Lingon introduced a very nice software that will make students do
their designs easier. It has a good interface and descriptions as well as functions and instructions. This is
related to the automation of industrial products that we see nowadays. With this they make their products
more efficient and reliable.
Overall the seminar was a success and it was very interesting and cool. I was amazed in the
presentation and Engr. Lingon was a very good speaker. I learned a lot and become very interested in
industrial designs and automation.
Innovation of knowledge is rapidly growing today. Many gadgets transformed into more
convenient and helpful devices in our daily lives. It is not just a luxury rather it becomes a need to every
people. One of the most common and widely used technology is the television. The migration from analog
to digital is in process. Every manufacturers and companies began to change their products in order to be
compatible with the said changes in the signal or transmission.
The transition phase of our country in the technology nowadays is very slow. We barely catch up
to the advancement in different parts of the world. I learned that what we know now is what they
researched or developed 10 or 15 years ago. Meaning it was already developed and we are not ready to
see this amazing technology yet. Sooner or later, the migration of the IP networks worldwide to iPv6 will
be in full swing. This seminar allows the students to learn about the basic concepts of iPv6 and how it will
affect the network technology of today and the future. Its advantages and disadvantages were also
discussed as the speaker go beyond the lecture.

The appropriate engineering solutions to address the effect of the current critical issues is to
increase awareness with this new technology to the broadcast industry and school levels, also to upgrade
and replace the outdated broadcasting technology that we have, and especially the government
assistance in doing research and experiment regarding television advancements to solve all of this
issues.

Leadership is actually a learned behavior that becomes unconscious over time. It can be felt
almost everywhere like for example in schools, government, businesses and also at home. Its value can
be seen through the output of each individual having common goals. The eagerness to achieve
excellence in every little task is a way to make it done effectively. The characteristic of a good leader is
necessary to attain career and organizational success.
I can say that the seminar was a success. It was a bit short compared to other talks all the more
reason that it is a non-technical. However, students still learn the values of good leadership and its
importance in an organization. Having a heart of a leader is a great achievement and it is in yourself that
fulfillment has been felt.
The whole seminar was a successful indeed, it was very enjoying. The speaker, Engr. James
Rodney P. Santiago was very accommodating, I felt the thoughtfulness and of course the effort he exerted
to answer all of our questions the whole seminar. In our stint we were able to learn Super High
Definition/Vision Television. Overall the seminar very educational and it was a great avenue to learn new
things.
In the present days, it is important to know what your goal is to remain still and focus on the work
load. It is indeed a successful one because we felt the dedication of the speaker to relay his ideas to the
students and apply it in their respective journey to life. Although in this age, students set their goal in a
short term period, after graduating at school, goals do not end just the way they see it. It is a long-term
goal for the benefit of themselves and the society.
