Mongolian People's Party wins 65 seats
According to preliminary results of the general election that was held on June
29th, 2016, Mongolian People's Party claimed 65 seats, Democratic Party claimed
9 seats, Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party claimed 1 seat and one
independent candidate claimed 1 seat. The turnout was 72.1% vs 65.2% in 2012.

Ulaanbaatar Citizens Khural dominated by MPP

Capital city election committee made an announcement on the preliminary results
of the citizens representatives khural of Ulaanbaatar. The Mongolian Peoples
Party secured 34 seats in the 45-seated Khural, whereas the Democratic Party
won the other 11.

Mongolia claims 100% ownership of Erdenet Mining Corporation
The Erdenet Mining Corporation, the main breadwinner of Mongolia, has been
officially transferred 100% to Mongolias ownership, having its 49% share handed
over by Russian side to Mongolian Copper Company, the Prime Minister of
Mongolia Ch.Saikhanbileg announced June 28 at a press conference. The
Mongolian government holds 51 percent and the Russian Rostech Corporation
used to hold 49 percent of EMC.

Aspire Mining: Erdenet to Ovoot Railway Included in New Northern
Rail Economic Corridor
The Presidents of China, Russia and Mongolia have signed off on a Trilateral
Program for the development of an Economic Corridor between the three
countries. This program includes the establishment of a new Northern Rail
Corridor, the agreement of a 3,500km rail path connecting the seaport of Tianjin
to the Trans-Siberian Railway at Kuragino. Aspires rail subsidiary, Northern
Railways LLC, has been awarded a Rail Concession from the Mongolian
Government to build, operate and transfer a 547km of the Northern Rail Corridor
from Erdenet to Aspire s Ovoot Coking Coal Project.

Copper Rises to Eight-Week High in Bet on Post-Brexit Stimulus

Copper touched an eight-week high amid bets that central banks will move
further to shore up economies following the U.K. referendum, boosting the
outlook for demand. Global equities advanced and the dollar weakened on signals
that governments including Japan and South Korea will act to cushion the impact
from the U.K.s vote to leave the European Union. Copper futures for September
delivery gained 0.5 percent to settle at $2.186 a pound at 1:09 p.m. on the
Comex in New York. The metal touched $2.1915, the highest since May 4.
