Welcome to RARE 2016

The Conference will address the problems and challenges posed in excavation of openings in
rock for mining engineering, civil engineering & infrastructure development projects, and
will discuss solutions to overcome these problems. Past experiences will be shared, and
application of new technologies will be explored.

Themes
The Conference will focus on the developments and innovations made in recent years in the
field of rock engineering, with special emphasis on field measurements, instrumentation and
data collection, to understand the behaviour of excavations in rock.
The main theme of the Conference is Recent Advances in Rock Engineering; the specialized
theme is Instrumentation and Field Measurements.
The general theme areas to be included in the deliberations are :

The Conference will focus on the developments and innovations made in recent years in the
field of rock engineering, with special emphasis on field measurements, instrumentation
and data collection, to understand the behaviour of excavations in rock.
The main theme of the Conference is Recent Advances in Rock Engineering; the specialized
theme is Instrumentation and Field Measurements.
Papers highlighting scientific and technological developments / innovations, new
developments and modern trends in the theme areas are invited from all academicians,
researchers, designers and field engineers. All the papers received will be published in the
Proceedings of the Conference after peer review.
Prospective authors shall register and submit their Abstracts online in MS DOC/DOCX
format not exceeding 800 words, and then send the full text of the paper after confirmation
from the Organizers.
