-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------**It is important to take note that you are receiving a young juvenile or an adult dog from
Highborn Havanese. Only on rare occasions do we place our adults. Signing this contract
means that you understand that if you can not for ANY reason keep this dog, it MUST be
returned to Julie Pollock, owner of Highborn Havanese. The adult dogs that leave us have
been raised as family pets and are crate trained, well behaved dogs. The first few weeks in
their new home may be stressful and they will need time to transition into their new home.
If it doesnt seem a good fit then he/she may not be given away to anyone else but must be
returned to Highborn.**

Buyer's Responsibilities:
1. This is an adult dog who has been checked by Highborns veterinary and deemed healthy.
However, we suggest that you have your veterinarian examine your new dog for peace of mind.
2. The Buyer agrees that this dog is a family pet, & an indoor pet. He/she will live indoors and
will never be permitted to roam freely.
3: The Buyer agrees to maintain current vaccinations, rabies and heartworm preventative for the
life of this pet. (This does not include the Bordetella vaccine)
4. The Havanese coat requires committed weekly long coat care or a clip every other month to
maintain optimal health. Once your Havanese reaches 6 months of age, he/she needs to be
groomed no less than 6 times a year (if he/she is being professionally groomed). The Buyer
agrees to maintain proper grooming on this pet.
5. The Buyer agrees to spay/neuter this dog if he/she hasnt yet had this surgery. If you are
bringing home a dog that needs spay/neuter surgery, it must be done by this date ____________
6. The Buyer understands that they must contact Highborn Havanese if their life circumstances
change or if for any reason the Buyer decides they can no longer keep said dog. They agree not
to sell or give the dog away under any circumstances without notifying Highborn Havanese first
by both phone and by email. You must make every effort to contact us and give us ample time
(seven days maximum) to respond before allowing this dog to go to another home, shelter or

Sellers Responsibilities:

1. Our dog comes to the buyer only after being examined by our Veterinarian. Our Vet is
Kennesaw Mountain Animal Hospital (Dr. Taryn McDonald). Feel free to call them at
770-419-0362
2. Highborn Havanese is placing an adult dog with you. You will receive veterinarian
paperwork showing shot records and procedures performed throughout this dogs life. This dog
will also come with no less than 30 days of Nationwide pet insurance. When this adult dog has
transitioned into his/her new home and the buyer deems this to be a good fit, the Insurance may
then be transferred into your (the Buyers) name. If they buyer does not wish to continue the
insurance, it will be cancelled 30 days after the signing of this document.
3. Dear Buyer, please take note that you are receiving a precious gem from our kennel. An
adult dog from us comes to you after being nurtured and trained for months or possibly years.
We have chosen you because we trust you and are trusting you to continue on with the love and
care we have bestowed upon this precious family pet. We hope you will hold true to all the
points listed under the Buyers Responsibilities and we will uphold our responsibilities as well as
be here for you for the duration of the life of this pet.
