Role Summary/Purpose

The front end developer role will work in some of the exciting projects in
International Trade
Compliance CoE, specifically the Tagging Exports space with modern front
end web technologies
to create a high performing, secure, and stable application suite that is used
across all GE
businesses. This is an excellent opportunity to expand your skill-set by
working on and delivering
Post Position Title :Front End Developer
Essential Responsibilities
<ul><li>Responsible for developing software using front end technologies
(AngularJS, JQuery, GE
Built Service Framework, etc.)</li><li>Partner with program manager,
functional clients, back end
developers and DB developers to develop business solutions using modern JS
frameworks</li><li>Leverage secure coding best practices and security
scanning tools to deliver
secure code</li><li>Explore and recommend new technologies that can be
leveraged</li><li>Perform peer code reviews to ensure proper coding
practices are followed and
to improve overall code quality</li><li>Integrate with various back end
components</li></ul>
Qualifications/Requirements
<ul><li>Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or a related technical
degree</li>
<li> IT experience in design and development</li>
<li>Knowledge and expertise in JS frameworks, specifically AngularJS,
NodeJS</li>
<li>Experience with interacting with relational databases</li></ul>
Desired Characteristics
<ul><li>Understanding of the MVC pattern</li><li>Experience with object
oriented
programming</li><li>Familiarity with Agile software development
principals</li><li>Experience
with front end technologies including HTML, CSS</li><li>Familiarity with
JAVA back end
frameworks such as Spring, Maven</li><li>Understanding of secure coding
principals</li><li>Experience working on a software project with multiple
developers leveraging
SVN</li><li>Experience with interacting with relational databases and
writing stored procedures
and insert/update/delete/queries.</li><li>Familiarity with database table
design</li><li>Ability to
work with users to understand functional requirements and translate those
into technical

solutions</li><li>Experience with RESTful, SOAP web services and

APIs</li><li>Stays abreast of
the latest technology trends impacting server side software
development</li></ul>
