SPECIAL GIFtS FROM GOD.

Dear Glory Teachers, Students, and Parents,

Thank you so much for all your diligence appreciation and kind support throughout the years. It is such an honorable and great rewarding life to be a teacher. I
am also thankful to all of you who are also my great teachers. You have been
teaching me a lot of meaningful lessons.
The new school year 2016-2017 is approaching and our new campus at Soi
Watchirathamsatit 30 for middle years and high school will be ready. We are also
blessed to grow increasingly day by day. Glory Singapore International School is
growing as a family and glowing as a school. Thank God for his wonderful blessing bestowed upon or Glory. Yes, to God be the glory.
Lets all work together even closer for the benefit of our dear children. Glory students will definitely be like shining stars as they grow up to be the best they can
be. Cheersss!

I love you all dearly.

SCHOOL PRINCIPAL
MR. LAWRENCE CHU

I have watched with great satisfaction the phenomenal growth of Glory Singapore
International School. From its inception to its present standing today.
This accelerated growth is made possible by the vision and foresight of the management, the teachers, parents, students and significant fathers working hand and
hand together as a team.
GSIS Specializes in helping with varied students needs due to individual differences. This is possible since we are a smaller school.
We believe in quality education thats why we employ young, enthusiastic teachers
to accomplish this goal. At the same time, we are very much aware of the need to
inoculate in students of Thailand and of the world.
Our intention is to grow. So, this new school year we are adding Grade 7 in the new
campus. Our ultimate goal is to progress beyond to Grade 12.
Thank you teachers, parents, students and significant others for your loyal and unstinted support. This cooperation of yours has certainly impacted and made great
difference to the school. Let us combine our efforts to greater achievements the
ultimate goal: excellence in character and education. Last but not the least, we will
train your children to be positive thinkers and great leaders. Above all, we will continue to serve you the way we know best.

To my beloved Nursery 1,
The beginning of the school year was a time of
building trust with all of you. It was a time of building relationships together and creating a team with
shared goal: Providing all of you with what you
needed to develop, had fun while learning, socialize
with people around them, and grow as preschoolers.
That trust and great relationship was built. And now I am truly grateful of what you have had become. I could see the development in
each one of you, that made me proud!

You always amaze me at your abilities to learn new things, to ask

questions from your innocent mind, to laugh on simple things, to love
and care for each other, to learn the way of life, and to be a good girls
and boys. What a talented and great children you are!

In behalf of all the teachers in the class, we would like to say

thank you for being the wonderful students to us! We love you all!
See you again next school year.
Love,

It has been such a rewarding a fulfilling experience to educate,
nurture and guide this diverse and cultured year group.
This year, we have furthered our existing students journey, as
well as welcoming a few new faces, each of whom adding a
fresh, unique element to our class.
The year was full of highlights but I particularly enjoyed taking
our kids on an educational and fun fieldtrip to Ocean World.
Watching my students little faces light up with wonder and curiosity was a real pleasure to behold.
There are many talented students in this eclectic class, and I
am sure that the future bodes well for each and every one of
them.
Well done P1!
Thank you for the smiles, learning and memories!

So you may wonder how my day goes being a P2 homeroom teacher?!!!

8:25 a.m.
General.Tummy : Teacher Jasmine ordered to meditate! Everyone start
meditating.
10:00 a.m.
Daniel the Bear: Teacher, I am a bear and I am gonna give you a bear hug!
Matt: Heeeey, Bear! Stay a way, I am a Koala bear and T.Jasmine is my tree.
Varin the Queen: Teacher, can we have our snack now?
Me: Yes!
Varin the Queen: Can I give you a hug before we go?
Me: Yesssss! Comeee here!
Varin the Queen: Teacher, someone else wants to give you a hug! (She is refering to June the Vice President
of the Queen)
Me: Aren't I the luckiest teacher? Come here June!!!!
@12:00 p.m.
Marshmallow (Izumi), Idea (Mr.Gentleman) and Time (Mr.Cutie), together with English ( our Pasa Ankrit :P) with their arms all around me: Teacher, can we go for lunch?
Me: Sure, after you tidy your desks!
General.Tummy: Line up everyone! Do not forget to wash your hands before you eat and show T.Jasmine
your empty plates after you are done with your lunch. This is an order from her!
All students: YES, SIR!
3:30 p.m.
Me: Do not forget to write down your homework and take the books you need home.
Khawsuk (Mr.Rice): Teacher, I am ready to go home.
Me: What's the rule?
Khawsuk: Give you a hug and say goodbye before we go home?
Princess Tahiti: Teacher, I am going home ,too and I could remember that I should give you a hug first!
@4:00p.m.
Mac (Mr.Charger): Hmmmm! Teacher! I think you have worked so hard and your battery is low, so I am
gonna charge you by hugging youuu!
He always knows how to put a smile on my face! Next up is always Khun! I call him Mr.KFC! He is Yummy!
(With his American accent and his arms open) Khun: Teacher, I'm here to say bye!
Behind him I can always spot Genting. He is normally shy to come forward and waits for me to call him.
Once I do, a smile sits on his face!
4:10 p.m.
A knock on my door and our Canadian Stanely is back to the class!
Me: What book did you forget again?
Stanley: I am looking for my Chinese notebook!
Me: AGAIN!??!! It must be with T.Tracy!!
Stanley: Oh! OK!

Me: Just O.K?

Stanley: Alrightttt! I forgot! I should give you a hug!
Right as Stanley leaves, Thian (Mr.Coconut is what he calls himself :-P) walks in!
Me: Thian, did you forget any books as well?
Thian: Yes, teacher! I am looking for my Maths Workbook. I cannot find it anywhere.
I walk to his desk and the book is right under his desk!!!
Me: How can you not see it??
Thian (with a cheeky smile on his face that I find absolutely adorable): Because I'm a COCONUT! HAHAHA!
He hugs me and says goodbye!
I suddenly look at the clock and I notice it's already 4:25 p.m.!!! Shocked by the day going so fast, I start packing my
own bag and I notice Marcky (Little Soicher) speeding to finish his homework.
Me: Marcky, it's time to go home now. Hurry up, buddy!
He gives me a quick hug and gets out before I do.
Meanwhile, I think to myself that "KIDS DO KEEP MY SPIRIT YOUNG AND HAPPY! THEY ARE VERY INNOCENT AND I
AM REALLY BLESSED TO HAVE A JOB WHICH GIVES ME THE OPPORTUNITY TO WORK WITH THESE LITTLE ANGELS
WHO CONSTANTLY SHOW ME THEIR UNCONDITIONAL LOVE AND ARE THE REASON I WAKE UP EVERYDAY AND
PUSH MYSELF TO BE A BETTER ROLE MODEL FOR THEM!"

P3 you have had an amazing year.

You have all been determined
and work had. It has been my
pleasure to have been your homeroom teacher this year. I am
very proud of what you have
achieved. All the best next year in
P4. I have no doubt you will go
from strength to strength.

NEETU THOMAS
HOMEROOM TEACHER
7 years have passed in the blink of an eye. 7 years with
my children from Kindergarten 1 to Grade 5!
7 years of greeting them every morning, being greeted
with bear hugs in return, answering unending questions,
listening to plaintive voices, kissing away hurts and tears,
shouting, coaxing, cajoling
Now suddenly my kindergarteners are 11-year old individuals they seem to have developed a personality of their
own, overnight! I have to keep in mind that even when I
consider them as my own, they might not prefer to see my
face every minute of the day, they might actually like to
learn a subject other than math (go figure!)they do have a part of their lives which T.Neetu
is not privy to at all!
Now, as I am getting ready to handover my children to another homeroom teacher, the past 7
years flash before my eyes

In the past years they must have asked me thousands of questions, sought my advice over inconsequential things, given me insight into my own self, given me a sense of purpose. At this moment I feel redundant.do I have anything more to offer?
Yes I do.a teachers role doesnt end with the culmination of a particular class. It carries on
into their lives.
They have certainly enriched my life, I hope I have enriched theirs a little.
When they have to solve a particularly difficult math problem I hope they see my
bulging eyes!
When they are faced with lifes choices..I hope they remember the values we discussed.
But most of all, I hope they remember me with a smile in their hearts!

Empathy is probably a word which makes
you feel you are not little kids anymore,
you are growing up to be young men and young ladies. You started to understand your classmates, your teachers and your parents feelings from your prospective. I feel
proud of you because you realized that being empathic with
each other has helped to solve lots of problems in your life
and makes you feel happier.
You will be in primary 5 next school year. Please keep doing
all these wonderful things. You face more challenges both in
your academic studies and in your life. I hope that you will
face all these challenges bravely. Dont be afraid of making
mistakes. Once you make mistake, learn from it. You will benefit from the mistake and it will become your own experience, which add value to your future.

These words are an exact reflection of my sentiments with
regards to Primary 6.
P6 is a group of students with immense caliber. Be it Jay Jay
and Getters wit, MiPooh and Bennys zeal, Sammy and
Wiselys wisecracks, Allisons tenacity or Smiles infectious smile, all of it makes me look forward to Monday
mornings.
I have always referred to them as my kids and proudly so, because each of them makes me feel like a delighted mother.
As a homeroom teacher, I will certainly miss their illimitable
curiosity as well as endearing mischief.
Wishing them all the
very best for the next
milestone, The Middle Years.
You kids are the stars
of GSIS!
Keep Shining!!!
