By the end of

Week 1

Finalise group and initial concept. Groups may like to decide on a


style at this stage, e.g. animation, live-action.

By the end of
Week 2

Students draft a synopsis for their project, outlining the concept,


the story, the characters and the setting. The theme (click) should
be evident in the synopsis).

By the end of
Week 3

Students draft their storyboard and script as appropriate. These


should include all relevant details. At this point, groups should
assign roles to each member if they have not done so already
(actors, directors, writers, animators, etc).

By the end of
Week 4

Students confer with classroom teacher to ensure that all aspects


have been completed and that your group is ready to begin
production.

By the end of
Week 5

Students build and gather all resources needed for filming including
props, costumes and animation artifacts.

Week 6

Students film their projects and/or capture photographs for stopmotion animation projects.

End of Week 7

Students have finished filming and have sourced/created any


accompanying music soundtracks.

End of Week 9

Students have edited their film, adding appropriate music, overlays,


credits, black screen, etc.

End of Week 10

Movies and movie poster is completed and ready for submission.
