government authorities (DSW). It is important that you answer truthfully
as possible so that the appropriate support may be provided to make the
ECCD as good a learning environment as possible. We hope you find the
questions interesting. We look forward hearing your thoughts

Teacher Training Test Questions

Nutrition, CRC and First Aid Questions

Notes:
Dau Byar Kau
This good ECCD even did not use soap with the children.
This ECCD had parents bringing water to them 2 times per week procured
through boiling. This is a system which requires a good deal of potential support.
Once in a month the parents and teachers have a meeting which most parents
attend.

When things break in the ECCD, the following steps are followed:

Inform ECCD Committee

Have a meeting (discuss with parents)
Wait normally one week
The process is a little bit difficult, as the teacher needs to collect
donations.

Stocks are replenished with student entrance fees (q3)

If the teacher needs help cleaning, the parents come to help (q4)
Parents are weak at taking care of the child cleaning (q8)
Parents prefer that the teacher is single (pressure here?). They think that if the
teacher has a child, she will prefer to watch and care for her child, comprising
the quality of care to their own.

Ang Chan Tha Village

Children bring water from home.
Parents demand the teacher teach their children how to write.
There is a quarterly meeting (every 3 months) with parents, usually in a church
or other meeting place in the village.
No mosquito net for the children.
Many items are broken table, bookshelves and many broken toys. In terms of
replacing them, we were told typically this requires two weeks, with items
replaced using the ECCD fund. She guessed that the fund only had $7,000 Kyat,
but she did not know exactly as she is not involved in the fund. Measuring the
teachers involvement in the fund may be highly productive, therefore.
When asked how to replenish teaching recourses - not sure; the toys need a
donor. The parents will help with outside toys. ECCD committee has a plan for
piped water. Its not a salary. Only pocket money. We might test their
dependency on the income. A simple whose success is camped on extracting
rents from willing women is both unstable and undermines the work they do.
Paying more for something makes us value it more.
Many parents think attending the ECCD is their so that children can write?
Coming to meetings might help alleviate this. Committee is not active (have a
scale of their activity). Not all parents attend the meeting.
