Lord,
I give you all that I am this day.
Please brush away my weariness,
So that I may be inspired in my work.
Help me to discover new ways to reveal
your love to all I meet.
Keep my mind clear and focused on all I
need to achieve,
And give me the wisdom to overcome
difficulties and find solutions.
I look to you and trust you are with me this
day.
Amen.
Office prayer before work
Living Lord,
Be with us as we work today.
Fill this office with inspiration and
energy.
Help us to work as a team, and bring out
the best in each other.
May we be efficient and achieve all we
need to, but also remember to rest.
May this place be full of fun and
friendship
And may relaxation and harmony inhabit
this space.
Thank you for this new day and the
opportunity to work together.

Short prayer before starting work
O Lord,
Meet me today in the ordinary rhythms of

my working life. I invite you to come and

breathe your life into mine.
Come, may your love fill this heart and may
it overflow into the lives of others. May
your hope well up inside me and bring new
vision for my life. And may your truth light
up my reactions and decisions.
May this ordinary day become extraordinary
because of you.

Lord before tiredness - you are energy
Lord before stress - you are peace
Lord before need - you are the gift
Lord before decisions - you are truth
Lord before toil - you are rest.
Today I will remember to put your energy,
your peace, your gift, your truth and your
rest before my working day.
That I may go not in my own strength but be
led by your Spirit.

Almighty God, we bless and praise Thee
that we have wakened to the light of another
earthly day; and now we will think of what a
day should be.
Our days are Thine, let them be spent for
Thee. Our days are few, let them be spent
with care. We pray Thee to shine on this day
the day which we may call our own.
Lord, we go to our daily work; help us to
take pleasure therein. Show us clearly what

our duty is; help us to be faithful in doing it.

Let all we do be well done, fit for Thine eye
to see. Give us strength to do, patience to
bear; let our courage never fail.
When we cannot love our work, let us think
of it as Thy task; and by our true love to
Thee, make unlovely things shine in the
light of Thy great love. Amen

ADSUMUS (We are present)
We have come, O Lord, Holy Spirit,
we have come before you,
hampered by our many and grievous
sins,
but for a special purpose
gathered together in your name.
Come to us and be with us
and enter our hearts.
Teach us what we are to do
and where we ought to tend;
show us what we must accomplish,
in order that, with your help,
we may be able to please you in all
things.
May you alone
be the author and the finisher of our
judgments,
who alone with God the Father and his
Son
possess a glorious name.
Do not allow us to disturb the order of
justice,
you who love equity above all things.
Let not ignorance draw us into devious
paths.
Let not partiality sway our minds
or respect of riches or persons pervert
our judgment.

But unite us to you effectually

by the gift of your grace alone,
that we may be one in you
and never forsake the truth;
As we are gathered together in your
name,
so may we in all things
hold fast to justice tempered by
mercy,
so that in this life
our judgment may in no way be at
variance with you
and in the life to come
we may attain to everlasting rewards
