PRE-PLANNING FOR THE LESSON


SLD- aprender el vocabulario de los lugares
Assessment:
- Monitoring of participation
- Shared answers
- Completed circle map
Materials:
- The places cards
- Class dojo
- SmartBoard lesson
- Blank sheets of paper
Introduction:
Read the objective
o Voy aprender el vocabulario de los lugares
o Have students repeat the objective and share with a partner
o Choose 3 students with class dojo to share the objective to the whole
group
Body
Tell students that today theyll be starting a new unit about the different
places in our community.
Open SmartBoard lesson
Go through the various new vocabulary:
o El supermercado
o El hospital
o El estadio
o El centro comercial
o La estacin de trenes
o El aeropuerto
o La parada de autobs
o El estacionamiento
o El museo
o En el campo
o El restaurante
As you go through each new word give a brief explanation of what each is
o Example: El supermercado es donde compras comida.
Ask students after each new word if they know how to say the word in English
o Alguien sabe come se dice aeropuerto en ingls?
Closure

Once all new vocabulary has been introduced, tell students that they will be
making a circle map with all the new vocabulary and drawing a picture (an
example can be seen in the SmartBoard lesson).
Choose 3 students to pass out white paper
Dismiss students by color (you can choose a student to do this)
If students complete the circle map early they may read quietly.
