Today | observed your snack routine in which you collaborated with your Speech Therapist to conduct. The
students demonstrated that they were familiar with the routine. It was good to see that the students level of
independence has increased. During this time, all staff used the least intrusive prompts.
During this routine, | recommend that you setup more opportunities for students to practice their requesting/
communication skills. This can be done by giving them smaller portions of their snack or manipulating the
environment to facilitate requesting,
Keep up the good work.

Additional Evaluator Notes (please attach more pages, as necessary):
During this lesson you collaborated with another classroom teacher to combine classes to complete an
culminating activity for the end of Dr. Seus week. You based the lesson on an activity in our new Attainment
Curriculum. The lesson was organized with a clear structure. All of the Paraprofessionals also assisted in
‘engaging the students and monitoring student attending and progress. The lesson ended by having the
students complete worksheets that were differentiated by the table the students were working at. You also
incorporated the SMART Board to increase student attending. Brandon had some behavioral issues that you
worked through and most of the students behavior was generally appropriate.
On future lesson plans | recommend that you target specific IEP goals and break the students up by adding a
3rd or 4th group, having students with similar IEP goals together. It was clear that there was a lot of time and
effort put into creating this lesson. Well done

‘Today | observed you collaborate with another teacher in conducting a lesson on the five senses.
Differentiated behavior systems were in place for al of the students, including token systems and FirsThen
Boards. This was a creative, multi-sensory lesson, that highly engaged the students with a well-designed
learning activity. As we discussed, when using a Tree Map, put the food as the main component, and each
branch shouid represent the different senses. | also recommend using a Frame of Reference with the
Thinking Maps to increase rigor, and the use of higher level cognitive skils.
Well done today.
