with slightly lobed, ozier moulded rims and three
square shallow serving dishes with serpentine rims and
rounded incuse corners, each decorated with a garden

edges, together with a pair of large square bowls, the
interiors decorated within.ects and the four sides with
a study of a bird, with underglaze blue crossed swords

ribbed glass drawn in a tight curl forming the butt and

then folded forming the trigger and guard, 2in.
(5.75cm.) long.
* Caspar Wistar founded the Wistarberg works in
1739, having imported Dutch artisans and contracted
with them that they would teach the art of glass
making to Caspar and his son, Richard and no-one
else. They remained in operation until 1780.
