BIS research is still a small firm as compared to the giants like Nielsen and IMRB, among others.

During the course of internship, I worked on the three reports GLOBAL AUTOMOTIVE SENSORS
MARKET, GLOBAL SMALL CALIBER AMMUNITION MARKET and GLOBAL 3D METAL
PRITING MARKET particularly of U.S.
The three reports were in-depth analysis of the wherein I got to learn the various important aspects of
the report and the proper way to understand and view the market in those pages of report. The work
included working on the Company profiling chapter of both the reports wherein the leading players
are identified and their profiling is done. This includes overview of the company, SWOT analysis and
after that a database is prepared and we start pitching the clients through emails and cold calling. After
that Leads are generated where we fulfill all the requirement of the clients and if they have any
specific requirements then we also provide customize solutions.

Methodology
The work involved understanding these market
intelligence reports by a knowledge transfer session given
by the research associates and managers. In those
sessions was given a brief information to how to pitch the
reports to the target companies and what type of
companies should we need to target. Information about
the product is also shared and all the related information
is shared regarding the report. Till now I have pitched 3

reports on Automotive Industry ,3D Printing Industry and


Defense Industry.
After the knowledge transfer session is completed we have
to prepare a data on an excel sheet where we find all the
companies and the contacts of respective companies to
which we try to pitch the clients. That data base is called
as Database of Key Industry Players (DKIP). 3 days are
given to find the contacts of all the targeted companies.
After the DKIP is prepared than 1 day is given to prepare
email draft. Sample drafts are prepared and some of them
are selected. There are some specific drafts are prepared
for the different Clients and their positions.
After the Email drafts are prepared then try to start
pitching the clients through email campaigning. Emails are
sent to all the targeted clients and with a good subject
line. A sample copy is attached with the email.
After all emails are sent to the clients after that the calling
part is done where we try to call all the clients and ask for
review of sample and their feedback and any
customization for the clients is to be done.
Maintaining relation with the global clients and taking
follow-ups after 2 days of the clients response is done. Till
now I have 10 clients from Europe and USA region in my
pipeline where they showed interest in our reports we
track there areas of interest in customization of reports.
If the case turns into a closure (sales) then asking for the
feedback of clients after 1 month.

LINKEDIN CONTACTS:
LinkedIn contacts are an important source of generating leads.

Email Drafting- I learned how to draft an email


and having an email conversation with the clients
and how to share pricing , quotation, invoice etc.
With a good subject line it attracts many clients.
Learned how to interact with clients on email.
Calling Etiquettes Dealing with International
clients and having a conversation with them
enhanced my communication skills and etiquettes.
Got to know how to use some professional words
and formal and informal conversation with the
clients.
Time Management Sometimes Emails and calls
are done simultaneously so got to how to manage
time while doing multiple things. Time
management is really important factor in my work
and learned a lot and still learning.
Dealing with the International clients - Having a
conversation with international clients which are
divided in different regions such as US , Asia
Pacific, Europe, Gulf Countries. Conversation
through video conferencing, Calling, E mails are
done which helped me to enhance my
communication, listening skills.

Working in Teams As the Report is allocated to


team of 3 employees where 1 employee take care

of Asia pacific region and other on Europe and


other on USA region. So working in team is a good
experience and having a good and supportive team
will help you to enhance team working skills and
efficient work.

Limited scope:
The current project is only limited to the healthcare industry while there many other
important verticals present in the industry

Ambiguous replies:
Some of the respondents might have given ambiguous replies for pitching the report
and might have omitted the responses to some of them.
Assumption for the purpose of analysis:
Some assumption were made while doing the analysis and interpretation; there could
have been a few limitations in regard to them.
