class. Anyone coming in after that will be considered late. An accumulation of 3 tardy marks will
constitute 1 absence mark in the attendance record.!
2. Absences: The allowed number of absences is as prescribed by the University and is 6 for the
entire term. If the student exceeds this number, he/she will be automatically dropped from the
official class roster. The student is responsible for his/her tardiness/absences in class.!
3. Excused Absences: The allowable excuses for absences are as prescribed in the Code:!
- Death in the family!
- Illness supported by a medical certificate from a family physician and a University
Health Service Certificate!
- An official class activity supported by documentation signed by the instructor and
endorsed by the Dean of the Unit!
4. Plate Submission: Everyone is expected to submit their plates and requirements on or before
the due date. Plates submitted late, from 1 day to 1 week, will be given a 0.5 penalty grade.
Plates submitted more than 1 week late will be given a grade of 3 or lower. Plates not
submitted at all will be given a grade of 5.0 and may result in a final grade of INC. No late Final
Plate will be accepted. Plates may be submitted outside class hours by being dropped in the
mailbox/file holder on the professors cubicle door in the faculty room.!
5. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the University. Eating and drinking beverage in the classroom
