Best Practices:
The email server has a limitation on the size of the document, but the following suggestions can help to
minimize the size of the job.
SCANNING LARGE JOBS
The Konica Minolta device defaults to Color scanning and Fine dpi. You can reduce the size of the
document in the following two ways:
Under Scan Settings:
1. Scan as a Compact PDF. This reduces the size of the document, while still allowing color scanning
OR
2. Change the default to black instead of color scanning and change the dpi to 100 x 100. This is best
for very large scanning jobs.
SCANNING A BOOK
Reminder: Select Separate Scan. This will scan as a single PDF instead of multiple PDFs.
Be sure that your scan doesnt have too much of a black border around it. This also takes up a lot of
space. You can eliminate this by selecting Settings and Border Erase.
