Project Purpose:
To create a game manual for The Titans Revenge in English and French for use by the player as an
introductory and informative reference.

Outline:
A draft manual outline is presented in the Appendix on page 5. This draft outline will evolve as the project
progresses, and is subject to additions, deletions and re-organizations as required.

Labour:
Based on the outline detailed in Appendix A, the fixed price labour cost is $24,750.
The lead writer`s time will be charged at $60/hour and the Secondary writers time will be charged at
$50/hour.
Additions to the scope of work will be charged at $75/hour.

Contractors:
The document will be translated into French by Good Speaking Translation Agency. Their fixed price labour
cost is:
$3,450
This expense will be paid directly by Shockwave Games Inc. Any additional translation costs due to additions to
the scope of the work or other changes will be borne by Shockwave Games Inc. according to Good Speakings
regular charge-out rates. PM Technical Writing will not be responsible for any of the translation costs or cost
overruns.

Expenses:
All out-of-pocket expenses will be charged on a cost +10% basis. Estimated travel expenses between
Vancouver and Toronto are:
Airfare: $600
Accommodation: $200 per night x 2 nights
Expenses (food, ground transport): $50 per day x 3 days
Total for travel: $1,150
Carrying Charge: $173
Total: $1,323

The labour cost is a fixed price quotation. Material, contractor and expense costs are estimates only and may
vary from this estimate.
Shockwave Games Inc. will cover the costs of Materials and Contractors.
All costs are quoted in Canadian Dollars.
GST will be added to the above amounts.
Interim invoices will be issued after the document achieves final approval. Progress reports will be issued on a
bi-weekly basis. Payment terms are net 30 days after receipt of invoice.

Deviations from any of these assumptions will delay the delivery of the final documentation. PM
Technical Writing cannot be responsible for the duration and timing of activities outside of its direct
control

Any material drawn from The Titans Revenge game developers must be reviewed and approved by them prior
to release. PM Technical Writing cannot be responsible for any modifications or deletions to the proposed
outline arising from this review.
PM Technical Writing personnel require liberal access to The Titans Revenge game software and Shockwave
Games Inc. documentation during the course of document preparation. Images may be taken from this
software as part of the documentation process. Existing documentation will be made available to PM
Technical Writing in electronic or hardcopy form, as appropriate.

Review Process:
The document will be reviewed in two stages:

The First Review will occur formally and involve up to six members of Titans Revenge game
development team. This review will occur at the Shockwave Games Inc. facility in Burnaby, BC.

The Final Review will occur formally and involve up to eight members of the Titans Revenge game
development team. This review will also occur at the Shockwave Games Inc. facility in Burnaby, BC.
Shockwave Games Inc. is responsible for engaging the reviewers and arranging the meeting logistics for both
reviews.
Progress reports will be submitted twice through the project:

The first progress report will be submitted half way through the Write Document phase.

The second progress report will be submitted after the First Review Cycle.

Document Sign-off:
Shockwave Games Inc. will sign off and thereby take responsibility for the accuracy of the documentation.
Specifically, Shockwave Games Inc. will hold PM Technical Writing, its employees and contractors harmless of
any liability and litigation that may arise from the use of the documentation.

Document Format:
The document will be formatted consistent with other Shockwave Games Inc. game manuals. Documentation
will be created using Microsoft Word. Graphics will consist of materials supplied by Shockwave Games Inc. and
images taken directly from The Titans Revenge game software.

Assumptions:

Specific procedural instructions will be based on The Titans Revenge software. Instructions for other
software or products from Shockwave Games Inc. will not be included

The Titans Revenge software will be available to the project free of charge and a final version of the
product will be supplied to PM Technical Writing personnel

An invoice will be submitted after the document achieved final approval

All costs for document translation will be borne by Shockwave Games Inc.

All costs for document publishing will be borne by Shockwave Games Inc.

Deliverables:
PM Technical Writing will deliver 6000 copies of the manual in each language (English and French). Each copy
will consist of double-sided 600 dpi black and white laser printed paper using 7 x 4 sheets (as required).
Document softcopies (including embedded graphics) will be provided in MS Word (.docx) and Adobe Acrobat
(.pdf) formats. Separate original graphics files will be supplied in Adobe Illustrator (.ai) format.
Shockwave Games Inc. is responsible for binding, index tabs and distribution.
