Reflection: Pope Francis

I found the documentary very satisfying, especially for myself because I barely know
Pope Francis, I never knew that he was such a great guy, he was very passionate, simplistic and
sincere to others.
Based on the documentary, Pope Francis or also known as Jorge Mario Bergoglio heard
the calling of Christ when he was about to finish his Masters degree and even though his parents
doesnt agree with him, he still insisted and he became a priest. Pope Francis was one of a kind, I
was amazed on how he manages things in his priest life, he was very close to the needy, he acts
just like a normal person, and he sometimes break the protocol just for the others. After watching
the documentary, I was amazed by the works of Pope Francis, he was very caring to those who
really needs Gods help. Based on the documentary, he helped the slum areas in a certain country
to be guided by the word of God, meaning he helped in building many Churches, and he asked
many missionaries and priests to go to that place. Also, he was very active on spreading the word
of God, he teaches kids to believe in the word of God. He was also active on Non-Government
Organizations that help stop slavery of people. These people were abused by drug lords,
smugglers, and other bad people. Pope Francis was also a humble man, he does not act like he
was the highest priest of the Catholics, he was very sincere to others, he does not snob his
friends, he bonds with them and together they ride public vehicles. He also makes time for
others, for example, he has a friend who needs a priest to baptize his son, and therefore Pope
Francis makes a way for that child to be baptized by himself and no other priest. For me, Pope
Francis was cool because I never knew he was a fan of sports, based on the documentary he was
a fan of a certain soccer team. Pope Francis was also down to earth kind of guy because he
went to people who has sickness like HIV/AIDS, Leprosy, Cancer and he kissed their foot. He
also went to a baptism of many new born babies and kissed their foot. Also, even though he was
a Pope, he never forgets his family. Based on the documentary, Pope Francis calls his sister just
to make sure that she was okay, he was a sweet kind of brother, his sister said.
I agree that Pope Francis was a special kind of priest, he was unique in his own ways. He
was not afraid of media people, he was not camera shy and he also smiles like he was not tired of
serving God, he has this presence of a proud man. I also noticed that he was very close to the
issues about the poor, he wants to help them and cure them. Not only that, he also coordinated
with other religions to achieve the same goal, to spread the word of God, to not think of
differences among beliefs but to think of the common good. I also agree to the documentary that
Pope Francis was a good communicator, yes this is true. The fact that he addresses issues that
needs to be acknowledged during his speeches on his visits. Pope Francis was really amazing for
me, because hes trying to resemble Christ and hes very passionate about his work.

I enjoyed watching the documentary, every bit of it was very informative, it gives the
viewers a detailed information about the Pope, about the life of man who would serve God and
spread the word of God.
