Understand the scope of work for the project, identifying the deliverables, preparation of Cost-TimeResource for the project
Review / comment drawings, datasheets, specifications, studies, analysis, etc. prepared by Client.
Review/ comment finding reports, appraisal report, etc. prepared by the subordinates.
Monitor the work progress on a daily basis with the subordinates to make sure that the targets are
achieved as per schedule
Monitor the man-hours for the project. Prepare weekly/monthly progress report. Attend
weekly/monthly progress meetings as needed.
Consider Health, Safety and Environment as the highest priority in all activities undertaken by
mechanical and piping team in accordance with Company standards.
Fluent in English (written and spoken), to be able to successfully work in a team environment and
communicate effectively with Clients.
IT: Hands in 2D / 3D design software such as PDS, PDMS and AutoCAD, Proficient in Pressure
Vessel and Piping design / analysis software such as Caesar II, AutoPIPE, PV-Elite, etc. Proficient in
Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and relevant software like
ANSYS and Abaqus is an
advantage; conversant with use of MS office.
Minimum 15 year relevant engineering experience in oil and gas industries and minimum 10 years
relevant engineering experience in offshore oil and gas industries
Well experienced in design, engineering and analysis of static equipment such as pressure vessels,
heat exchangers, storage tanks for oil and gas applications
Well experienced in design, engineering and analysis of process and utility piping for onshore and
offshore oil and gas applications
Proficient in relevant international codes and standards such as ASME Section VIII (Div 1 and 2), PD
5500, for Pressure Vessels, API 620 and 650 for Storage Tanks, TEMA, API 660 for Heat exchangers
and ASME B31.3, API 14E, for Process Piping
Conversant with other relevant international codes and standards such as ASME Section I, II, EN
13445, for Pressure Vessels, API 661, 662 for Heat exchangers and ASME B31.1, B31.4, B31.8 for
Process Piping
Fully familiar with Fitness For Service and Remaining Life Assessment (FFS & RLA) for pressure
containing equipment (Pipeline, Piping, Pressure Vessel, Storage Tank) as per API 579
