captured, or initially used, becomes reference data. This data will not change, but it remains

Assess data with Arkivio Assessment tools. Identify the

location and types of data that should be moved away from
the backup process.

Arkivio moves data from primary storage to Artico where

data can be accessed from disk and migrated over time to the
desired archive storage location.

Set Arkivio data movement policies based on knowledge from

your data assessment. These policies will automatically migrate
files from primary storage to Artico but users and applications
will continue to access data from the location they expect.

Artico policies determine how long data stays on disk, before

it is truncated and moved to archive storage, where it remains
available to users but is stored in a much less expensive storage.

where data will be available on active disk and migrated to archive storage when desired. All data
remains accessible.
