This Letter of Agreement (LOA) is for an academe-industry linkage partnership between
COMPANY NAME, with office address at COMPANY ADDRESS, as COMPANY and Technological Institute of the Philippines, with office addresses at 938 Aurora Blvd., Cubao, Quezon City and 1338 Arlegui Street, Quiapo, Manila, as SCHOOL. The purpose of this agreement is to clearly define the roles and responsibilities of each party as the academe-industry linkage program is implemented. A program that creates future/potential employment for TIP graduates, on the job training for TIP students, and other collaborative endeavors between the company and the school. During the course of the Academe-Industry Linkage program: A. SCHOOL agrees to: a. Give the company priority access to TIP graduates and assist in identifying competitive and compatible graduates for potential employment. b. Provide services such as personalized recruitment assistance from the TIP career center, VIP treatment in on-campus job fairs and an opportunity to conduct on-campus testing and recruitment activities. c. Recognize the company as one of TIPs business linkage partners. d. Provide accommodation for in campus company employment examinations both psychological and quantitative. e. Include the company in the CSR and PR efforts of TIP in helping promote employment and empowering the youth. f. Provide engineering and science based business research to help provide solution to business challenges that the company may share to the academe. g. Advise the student-trainees to abide by the Companys policies and OJT/Practicum Rules and Regulations and any violation thereof during the training may be a ground for withdrawal of the student-trainee from the OJT Program h. Voluntarily withdraw a student-trainee who fails to observe or violates the COMPANYs policies and/or OJT Practicum Rules and Regulations.
B. COMPANY agrees to:

a. Provide formal on-the-job training (OJT) to selected TIP students. The
Company will also strive to run a professional training program. The Company is requested but is not obligated to give OJT students a stipend to cover for transportation and meal expenses b. Give the opportunity to TIP graduates on parity with other big universities in terms of potential job opening. c. Support through student scholarship, or any possible incentive from the company, from the successful business challenges that are solved. The Company shall not be liable for any accident or injury that the student-trainee may suffer during the course of the OJT, provided, however, that the said accident or injury did not arise by reason of the fault or negligence of the COMPANY and/or any of its employees, officers and directors. The SCHOOL and the student-trainee shall renounce and waive any claim against the COMPANY for any loss or injury that the studenttrainee may suffer and which arises from the fault or negligence of the student-trainee in performing of his/her duties and functions during the OJT. This agreement shall take effect immediately upon signing and shall continue to be in force and effect until such time that any one of the parties withdraws from this Agreement upon 30 days prior notice to the other.
