Lesson 1: Where is Your Heart?

Lesson 1: Where is Your Heart?

Introduction:
The influence of the world nowadays has been so strong that it pulls the
focus of young people from God. How will you know if you are still on the
right track or you have lost track to what God wants for you? Today, lets
check where your heart is? Are you still doing His Will or are you already
doing your permissive will?
I- Where is your heart?

Heart not the literal body organ but what the Hebrew refer as the mind that
we have.

For mind is where your thoughts are. Thoughts become your words; words
become concepts; concepts become ideas; and ideas are what will make us.

Heart has both conscious and sub-conscious mind:

Conscious what manipulates you

Sub-conscious your real thinking; where all true emotions are; where
the spirit of either the devil or of God resides

So where is your heart?

Matthew 6:21, For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also

life right now on each row. Tear each row and

collect their 5th priority, then 4th, third, second,
and first.

Read Matthew 6: 31-33

Review their priorities and discuss.

II- Many times that our heart is tested whether we really love God
above all things, or we love more the things of this world.

Because of peer pressure, we are tempted to puff a cigarette, drink alcoholic

beverage, try prohibited drugs
Because it becomes a "trend" in the society, premarital sex was tolerated.

III- Reality Check: When it comes to doing the will of the Father:

People turn bitter; they lose their joy.

People pretend in following God:

Jewish people: Mark 7:6-7, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as
it is written, this people honoureth me with their lips but their heart is far
from me. How be it in vain do they worship me
IV- Bible stories attest that God tests the heart of man through the
years

When God commanded Adam and Eve not to eat the forbidden fruit, they
were tempted by the serpent, "Did God really say, "You must not eat from any
tree in the garden?' You will not surely die." (Genesis 3:1-7). The work of

Lesson 1: Where is Your Heart?

When the Begotten Son of God, our Lord Jesus Christ was crucified in the
cross for the remission of our sins, he did not do against the Will of God,
instead he drank the bitter cup. Isaiah 53:10 says that when He is was
hanging on that cross, He was happy because He saw His seed that will save
the first Adam.

The center of your life is where your heart is located. If what contains your
heart will be taken away, you will not be happy for it is where your love is.

To locate your heart, see where you spend your money and time.

V- How will God find and locate your heart?

God will find your heart when you say, From now on Lord, not my will, but
Your will be done in my life.

When Satan comes to tempt us, we will fight against him, and follow the will
of the Father.

CONCLUSION:
Have someone read:
Matthew 6:33, Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His
righteousness, and all these shall be added unto you.

It is very important to search where your heart is because that is the

measure if your praise and worship is holy and acceptable before the Father
Almighty.
