Evaluation of Instruction
The students were so excited to use the iPads and to try out a new app. They were engaged
throughout the entire lesson, taking a quiz has never been so fun. When I first told them
they were taking a quiz they were bummed out and a little nervous, but once they got
started on the Kahoot! app the quiz felt more like a game. When they answered a question,
they got immediate feedback on whether they answered it correctly or incorrectly. They
cheered and were excited after every question they answered correctly.
I loved using Kahoot! It was really easy to create the quiz, and it gave me immediate
feedback on if my students knew the material or not.
Our first time using Kahoot! we used it more as a review than a formative assessment. My
students were excited, silly, and just having fun with exploring a new app. Next time, I
would change the lesson, by creating a more quiz like setting. I would have the students
complete the quiz with their voices off as if they were completing a quiz on paper.
