Fliers
Description - Flier for a graduate leadership conference
Programs used - InDesign, Photoshop
Date - May 8th, 2016
Course # & Section - Comm 130: 07
Instructor name - Lindsey Lefevre
Objective (see project page) - To invite graduates and
recent graduates to come and get an edge on business and how they can get
ahead of the game in their industry.

Process (4-5 sentences) - I used two of my sketches. I used

the circles at the top and bottom of the flier from one sketch, and the large title
from my second sketch. I focused on principles like shape, alignment, repetition,
and rule of odds. I wanted the eyes to be attracted to the flier so I added the
white boarder, but not too big of a boarder to take away from the message of
the flier. I was also careful not to make the flier seem playful, but rather a simple
and professional design.

Consistent placement - The logo is consistent throughout the

design, as well as the colors.

Business Cards
Description - These business cards are designed for Mullen Building
and Design (fictional). The art in the logo is meant to resemble a M for Mullen.

Programs used - Illustrator

Date - May 29th, 2016
Course # & Section - Comm 130: 07
Instructor name - Lindsey Lefevre
Objective (see project page) - To show future employers
that I love simple and unique designs.

Process (4-5 sentences) - I knew from the beginning I wanted

to incorporate some kind of structure design in the logo. Thats how I named
the company Mullen. I felt it was a little too bland so I added a circle but it just
wasnt enough flare so I created the spaces at each 90 degrees of the circle. I did
this by laying a small square on the circle and made the fill the same color as the
black background.

Consistent placement - The logo is consistent throughout

the design, as well as the colors.

Montage
Description - The design attempts to capture different aspects

of nature and creation and showcase its beauty. The stars in the sky and the
many colors represent the vastness of seemingly incomprehensible space. The
fish represent the aspects of nature that are tangible and understandable.
Lastly, the road with the mountains and trees tells us that there is so much to be
traveled and experienced in this life.

Programs used - Photoshop

Date - June 11th, 2016
Course # & Section - Comm 130: 07
Instructor name - Lindsey Lefevre
Objective (see project page) - We should all appreciate the
beauty of all Gods creations.

Process (4-5 sentences) - I started with just two images, the

fish and the road. I began to blend in the fish in the road, using both the simple
brush tool and the color mixer tool. I have really come to love using the color
mixer tool, it helped blend most of the separate images in the design. I brought
down the opacity of the fish image to make it seem like the road was flooded
deep with water, with colorful fish all around. I then felt like there still wasnt
enough color and pizzaz, so I searched for a starry image with color.

Consistent placement - The logo is consistent throughout

the design, as well as the colors.

Extra - Info Flier

Description - This flier is to encourage people to come to our info
sessions every so often at our office building. We provide food as they sit and
listen to people talk about working for Level Solar.

Programs used - Photoshop, InDesign

Date - July 16th, 2016
Course # & Section - Comm 130: 07
Instructor name - Lindsey Lefevre
Objective (see project page) - To bring college students

looking for job opportunities to the Level Solar office in order to educate them
on the opportunities with solar energy.

Process (4-5 sentences) - I really liked working on this

project and it allowed me to kind of kill two birds with one stone. I wanted to
make it simple but I wanted it to pop so I used three pictures from the company
website, I used clip art images, and I tried to really contrast the font and the
background. I loved using the opacity and tint tools and letting the background
show through. I organized the layout to create flow and made it easy to read. I
created short and to-the-point dialogue so people wouldnt lost interest.

Consistent placement - The logo is consistent throughout

the design, as well as the colors.

Logos
Description - A logo for the Beeline company. The logo is meant to

be simple but professional to attract the attention of professional people. The

logo highlights the letter B in Beeline and gives an emphasis on the line running
beneath the bottom letters. The sharp indent in the letter B could be seen as a
bees stinger and the B is slanted to show that Beeline is fast.

Programs used - Illustrator, InDesign

Date - June 5th, 2016
Course # & Section - Comm 130: 07
Instructor name - Lindsey Lefevre
Objective (see project page) - Beeline is quick, dependable,
and will help connect you to the people you want to know.

Process (4-5 sentences) - I started out with doodling with

all types of fonts. I thought of using a line to extend off of the letter L in Line
but thats all I started with. I found the right font but I wanted to try something
more simple. I found a different font and used that and then put a stroke around
the whole logo. I also did that to match the height on the vertical part of the
letter L. The end result was a clean and neat vertical logo.

Consistent placement - The logo is consistent throughout

the design, as well as the colors.

Imaging
Description - The design was created to encourage and invite
anyone in the community, but especially BYU-Idaho students to attend
devotional.

Programs used - Photoshop, Illustrator

Date - May 22nd, 2016
Course # & Section - Comm 130: 07
Instructor name - Lindsey Lefevre
Objective (see project page) - Come to devotional, you can
become better disciples of the Lord.

Process (4-5 sentences) - I used Adobe Photoshop to create

and organize my design. I started with simply the picture and 3 boxes. I knew
from the beginning I wanted a friendly invite, the day and time, and a quote
that shared the importance of devotional. From there I researched some ideas
for flyers and I saw the use of thin lines to show the color scheme. I wanted the
design to be simple, but not boring. I thought of adding other shapes and so I
decided that the circle would cover where the perpendicular lines meet. I chose
the colors from my picture and it made the design pop.

Consistent placement - The logo is consistent throughout

the design, as well as the colors.

Web Page
Description - This website was created to give a detailed

description of the design of the Beeline logo. The web page was designed to be
appealing and unified. The design stands out in the web page so that the viewer
can easily refer to the design. Its supposed to be simple, neat, and professional.

Programs used - Text Wrangler

Date - June 26th, 2016
Course # & Section - Comm 130: 07
Instructor name - Lindsey Lefevre
Objective (see project page) - The Beeline logo is meant to
be simple, attractive, and professional.

Process (4-5 sentences) - I used TextWrangler for my web

designing. I started by entering my image in my HTML and entered my list

tags. I opened my logo in Photoshop and using the eye dropper tool to find the
color hex of my logo. After getting my color scheme, I opened TextWrangler and
first changed the color of the background of the body in my .css document. I
wanted something different about my web page so I gave the heading a white
border. I used left float to shift my text to the right of the page and create an
even alignment.

Consistent placement - The logo is consistent throughout

the design, as well as the colors.

Letterhead

Description - This letterhead is designed for Mullen Building and

Design (fictional). The look is meant to show simplicity and unique design
elements that will capture the attention of the audience. The black background
gives a stark contrast to the color scheme in the logo and on the informational
side of the business card. The art in the logo is meant to resemble a M for
Mullen. The font and color scheme give an ancient and rustic feel like the
company has been around for a long time.

Programs used - Illustrator

Date - June 11th, 2016
Course # & Section - Comm 130: 07
Instructor name - Lindsey Lefevre
Objective (see project page) - To show future employers
that I love simple and unique designs.

Process (4-5 sentences) - The letterhead wasnt that hard to

do and the only change I made from the draft was removing a watermark I had
of the M. After posting the project I went back and inserted the watermark but
just brought down the opacity a bit.

Consistent placement - The logo is consistent throughout

the design, as well as the colors.

Brochure
Description - A brochure I made to give info to people interested in
working in the solar industry.

Programs used - Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop

Date - July 9th, 2016
Course # & Section - Comm 130: 07
Instructor name - Lindsey Lefevre
Objective (see project page) - To invite college students to
come and learn about Level Solars opportunities we are offering!

Process (4-5 sentences) - InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop,

use of margins and paragraph styles were all part of my process. I used
Photoshop to cut out my infographic to place within my text. I used the text
wrap tool to get my body copy to wrap around the infographic. For the white
streak across the top of each page, I simply continued the white rectangle by
making my own and fitting it to the same dimensions of the logo.

Consistent placement - The logo is consistent throughout

the design, as well as the colors.

From the CEO

A lot of CEOs believe that leading a company means
giving orders from the top. I think about this differently.
I view my primary role as supporting the talented
people who work for Level Solar, to help them be happy
and successful at work. I know that if they are, we
as a company will accomplish our goals. This is why I
represent our organization chart this way, to emphasize
the support role I play in the company, in addition to the
leadership role.

Its time to make a Positive Change!

How the Program Works!

Level Solar offers incredible opportunities for those

looking to experience NewYork and help people change
their lives. No matter where you are, hether its working
in our Manhattan headquarters to site surveying a roof
or talking to homeowners on the street, youll always
have a team member there to help you be successful.

We install solar panels on your home at no cost. The solar

panels generate 100% cleanelectricity. We provide this
electricity to you for up to 25% less than your utility. Level
Solars agreement is designed to save people money
today, and even more in the future. Today homeowners
purchase 100% of their electricity from the utility and pay
one large electric bill. With Level Solar, electricity
from solar panels provides the majority
of their energy, at a lower
rate. They change
nothing, just pay less!
Electricity prices from
a traditional utility
typically
increase
between 3 4% per
year. Level Solar
locks in a lower rate, enabling you to save more over
time. Your Impact On The Environment: A typical solar
array produces 150,000 kWh over 20 years, equivalent
to planting 2,500 trees, eliminating 200,000 pounds of
carbon dioxide, and offsetting 8,000 gallons of gasoline.

The way Level Solar is able to help people is simply

installing solar panels at no cost, the panels then
generate clean electricity for the home, and we provide
that electricity to them for much less than any local
company. This way, you and Level are able to build a
business and help people save on their high cost electric
bill! So its a win-win for everyone!
