Service Functionality
Important: If the service shall also start programs or applications when a user is logged
on, it is required to start the monitor program as well. This is possible with a shortcut in
the Autostart file or an entry in the Registry (AutoRun).

3. Installations
3.1. Basic Installation
Execute file Setup_Sitop_3.x.2.x.exe.
Installation is started.

Select a start menu folder, if you would like to create an entry there.

In the next window you complete the driver installation with a click on Finish.

Following the same steps, the driver for a new serial COM port is installed.
In this window you complete the driver installation with a click on Finish. The driver for
the SITOP DC UPS module is now installed successfully.
Yon can control in the device manager whether the SITOP DC UPS module has been
identified correctly:

If the driver version is less than 2.2.4.0, an update has to be made. In order to do this
please activate the button Update Driver.
Then continue as described in chapter 3.2, Installation USB drivers.

On clicking the Windows buttons Start -> Run... the following window opens:
As destination the path has to be selected where the files that were unpacked in step
Basic Installation are located.
The correct installation of the service is confirmed by the following information:
If this information is not wanted to appear in an automated installation, the option /silent
can be added after the entry /install.

The service can only be started automatically by a restart of the PC. Alternatively, a first
manual start is possible by clicking on Start with the right mouse button
The service can be uninstalled by following the same steps, using the parameter
/uninstall.

4.2. Configuration
After the program start the monitor window opens. You get to the configuration window
by clicking on the button Configuration.
Option for display of monitoring window on status change (optionally after a time
that can be set)

Option for PC shutdown after a set time when buffering (note: if the mains
voltage returns during the set time, the PC will NOT shut down)

Option for starting an application after a set time at ALARM (buffer not ready),
(example: *.exe, *.bat, *.vbs or *.js)

>85% (battery fully charged), (example: *.exe, *.bat, *.vbs oder *.js)
Option for starting an application after a set time at falling below battery charge

In the logfile all events are registered and made available for later evaluation.
