Therouteismarkedusingredsignswithwhitearrows.Theroutesignswilldirectyouaroundthecourseand
willbefoundatjunctionsandturnings.

SlowDownsignsareusedtoadviseriderstoreducetheirspeedasapotentialhazardisaheadofthem.
Whenyouseethesesignsyoushouldreduceyourspeedandridewithextracaution.

CAUTIONSIGNS
YellowTriangularCautionsignswillbeusedwhereappropriatetomarkpotentialhazardssuchas,turnings
offfaststretchesofroad,afastdecentandacrossingwithabusierroad.Whenyouseethesesignsyou
shouldreduceyourspeedandridewithextracaution.

Althoughtherouteisclearlymarked,youshouldstudyyourmapbeforestartingtofamiliariseyourselfwithyourroute.Youshouldreferto
yourmapfrequentlyduringyourridetoconfirmyourlocation.Ifyouaccidentallystrayfromtherouteyoushouldbacktracktothelastpoint
whereyouknewyouwereontheroute.

Onoccasionsthegeneralpublicwilltamperwithsigns,itisthereforeeachridersownresponsibilitytofollowtheroutethemselvesandto
rideappropriatelyonthepublicroads.

Ridersarewelcometochangetoshorterroutes,astheyarecompletingtheevent,simplyfollowthesignsforoneoftheshorterroutesatthe
coursesplitpointsandinformusofyourroutechangeatthefinish.

POWERBARFEED/DRINKSTATIONS

TherewillbePowerBarfeed/drinkstationsonCourse.Theseareindicatedonyourevent
daymap.ThisisanopportunitytotopupyourwaterbottleswithPowerBarenergydrink
andtakeonboardsomefood.Eachfeedstationwillhave2sections:

1.EatMeNowfoods-Suchasbananas/flapjacksetc.Thesearetotopupyourenergy
levelsinstantly.
2.KeepMeFoodseachRidercanpickup1xPowerBarfoodproductand1xenergydrink
ateachfeedstationtotakewiththem.Thesecanbeconsumedlaterintheridewhenyou
needalittleboosttogetyoutothenextfeedstationorthefinish.

Thisshouldsupplementthefood/drinkyouhavetakenontherideandyoushouldnot
solelyrelyonthisasyouronlyformofnutrition.Pleasetakeonlyyourquotaoffreefoodat
thefeedstationsaswehavetocaterforalltheriders.Trackpumps,innertubesandmultitoolswillbeavailabletouseatthesestationstoassistyouwithmechanicalproblems.For
safety,ridersmustslowdownintheapproachandexittoanyfeedstation.

AlthoughSportivesarenon-competitive,ridersoftenliketosetthemselvestargetstoaimfor.Thetablebelowshowsthetimeandaverage
speedrequiredtoachieveeithertheGold,SilverorBronzestandardatthisevent.Ridertimes,willbedisplayedinalphabeticalorderonour

removedandallridersfinishedbyapprox.5:00pm.Riderstakingtoolongtocompletetheroutemaybedirectedbackviaashorterrouteifit
isdeemednecessarybyourexperiencedteam.
