GCSO LAW ENFORCEMENT SUMMARY

On Monday, July 11, 2016, Deputy M. Garrett executed a transport order and transported
William Paul Massey (39) from the Bay County Jail to Gulf County for a court appearance.
On July 11, 2016, the Gulf County Sheriffs Office (GCSO) received a domestic disturbance
complaint in the 200 block of Pompano Street in Highland View. Deputy M. Peek responded
and conducted an investigation. The complainant reported her paramour, Louis Edward
Lindsey Jr. (44), battered her and threatened to kill her. Lindsey admitted to Deputy Peek that
he pushed the complainant down during a verbal argument. Deputy Peek observed physical
injuries to the complainant that substantiated her allegations. Louis Edward Lindsey Jr. (44)
was placed under arrest and charged with Domestic Battery. He was transported to the Gulf
County Detention Facility (GCDF).
On Tuesday, July 12, 2016, Investigators S. Ferrell and P. Williams observed a blue Saturn
parked in the roadway on East Creekview Drive in the Stone Mill Creek area. The investigators
made contact with the occupants to offer assistance. When the investigators made contact with
the juvenile driver and the passenger John Daniel Skipper (18) they detected the odor of
marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. A probable cause search was conducted and
revealed the occupants were in possession of marijuana and prescription pills without a
prescription. Skipper admitted to the investigators they were going to sell the prescription pills
for $20.00 each. Both occupants were arrested and charged with Possession of Less Than 20
Grams of Marijuana and Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Distribute.
Skipper and the juvenile were transported to the GCDF.
On July 12, 2016, the GCSO received a theft complaint in the 100 block of Cabo San Lucas
Lane in Cape San Blas. Deputy M. Manley responded to the complaint and conducted an
investigation. The complainant reported between April and July 2016, several fishing rods,
two tackle boxes and other miscellaneous fishing equipment were stolen from an outdoor
storage closet at the residence. The theft has been assigned to the GCSO Criminal Investigation
Division (CID).

On Wednesday, July 13, 2016, the GCSO received a physical disturbance complaint in the 100
block of Chapel Lane in Overstreet. Deputy M. Manley and Deputy M. Peek responded and
conducted an investigation. The investigation revealed Timothy Micheal Brandon (46) used a
cane to hit the victim in the head. The deputies observed an injury to the victim and other
evidence at the scene to substantiate the victims allegations. Brandon had departed the scene
prior to law enforcement arrival. Later on the same date Investigators S. Ferrell and P.
Williams arrested Brandon in the 100 block of Chapel Lane in Overstreet. Brandon was placed
under arrest for Aggravated Battery and also had a Violation of Probation warrant. He was
transported to the GCDF.
On July 13, 2016, Deputy C. Sanders served an arrest warrant on Charles Edward Kinney (41)
in the 3800 block of Highway 98 in Port Saint Joe. Kinney was placed under arrest for a
Violation of Probation warrant and transported to the GCDF.
On Thursday, July 14, 2016, Deputy C. Sanders conducted a traffic stop on a white Chevrolet
driven by Kristy Jo Mohr (45) on Highway 98 in the Beacon Hill area for unlawful speed.
Through further investigation Deputy Sanders arrested Mohr for Reckless Driving with
Alcohol. In addition she was issued a traffic citation for Open Container of Alcoholic
Beverage. Mohr was transported to the GCDF.
On July 14, 2016, Deputy B. Smith conducted a traffic stop on a blue Kia driven by Shannon
Nicole Pridgeon (19) for an equipment violation on Highway 98 and Discovery Lane in the
Windward Beach area. During the traffic stop Deputy Smith detected the odor of marijuana
coming from inside the vehicle. Pridgeon then admitted to Deputy Smith she had marijuana
in the vehicle and turned over a bag of marijuana to him. Deputy Smith deployed K-9 Brix
and conducted an open air sniff around the vehicle. K-9 Brix gave a positive alert for the
presence of illegal drugs but the probable cause search did not yield more illegal drugs.
Pridgeon was arrested and charged with Possession of Less Than 20 Grams of Marijuana and
transported to the GCDF.
On July 14, 2016, Investigator P. Williams conducted a traffic stop on a silver Volkswagen
driven by a 16 year old male on 2nd Street and Lake Grove Road in Wewahitchka for an
equipment violation. A drivers license check revealed the juvenile did not possess a valid
drivers license. The juvenile was issued a criminal citation for Operating a Motor Vehicle
without a License with a mandatory court date. Investigator Williams contacted the juveniles
parent/guardian and they responded to the scene, where the juvenile and the vehicle were
released to their custody.
On Friday, July 15, 2016, the GCSO received a theft complaint that occurred on a fishing boat
docked at Woods Fisheries. Investigator L. Dickey responded and conducted an investigation.
The complainant reported electronics had been stolen off his vessel. Investigator Dickey
continues to investigate.
On July 15, 2016, the GCSO received a vehicle burglary complaint in the 100 block of Sea
Dunes Drive in Cape San Blas. Deputy C. Harvey responded to investigate. The investigation
revealed the complainant left their vehicle unlocked and two firearms and a pair of sunglasses
were stolen out of it during the night. The GCSO Criminal Investigations Division (CID)
continues to investigate.

On July 15, 2106, the GCSO received a vehicle burglary complaint in the 100 block of Sea
Dunes Drive in Cape San Blas. Deputy A. White responded to investigate. The investigation
revealed the complainant left their vehicle unlocked and their drivers license and US Currency
were stolen out of it during the night. The GCSO Criminal Investigations Division (CID)
continues to investigate.
On July 15, 2016, the GCSO received a vehicle burglary complaint in the 100 block of Sea
Dunes Drive in Cape San Blas. Deputy A. White responded to investigate. The investigation
revealed the complainant left their vehicle unlocked and a firearm was stolen out of it during
the night. The GCSO Criminal Investigations Division (CID) continues to investigate.
On July 15, 2016, Investigators S. Ferrell and P. Williams conducted a traffic stop on a white
Saturn driven by Bobbi Jo Kathleen Duke (25) at the intersection of Bill Nelson and Smith
Road in the Five Acre Farm area. The investigators had prior knowledge Duke was on
probation as well as operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Duke was arrested
and charged with Driving While License Suspended or Revoked and Violation of Probation.
She was transported to the GCDF.
On July 15, 2016, Deputy B. Smith conducted a traffic stop on a white Toyota driven by
Anthony James Hammond (26) for an equipment violation in the Lake Alice Park area in
Wewahitchka. Through further investigation Deputy Smith deployed K-9 Brix and conducted
an open air sniff of the exterior of the vehicle. K-9 Brix gave an alert for the presence of illegal
drugs. A probable cause search revealed Hammond was in possession of marijuana and drug
paraphernalia. Hammond was arrested and charged with Possession of Less Than 20 Grams
of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was transported to the GCDF.
On Saturday, July 16, 2016, Deputy M. Peek conducted a traffic stop on a black Honda driven
by QuaNesha T. Thomas (22) for an equipment violation in the parking lot of the Dixie Belle
Motel. A drivers license check revealed Thomas was operating a motor vehicle without a
valid driver license. Thomas was arrested and charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle without
a License. She was transported to the GCDF.
On July 16, 2016, the GCSO received a vehicle burglary complaint in the 6100 block of Nassau
Lane in Cape San Blas. Deputy P. Baxley responded to investigate. The investigation revealed
the complainant left their vehicle unlocked and firearm and camera were stolen out of it during
the night. The GCSO Criminal Investigations Division (CID) continues to investigate.
On July 16, 2016, the GCSO received a walk-in vehicle burglary complaint that occurred in
the 200 block of Seagrass Circle in Cape San Blas. The investigation revealed the complainant
left their vehicle unlocked and a pair of sunglasses were stolen from inside during the night.
In addition a Yeti cooler was left outside the residence and stolen too. The GCSO Criminal
Investigations Division (CID) continues to investigate.
On Sunday, July 17, 2016, Deputy M. Peek conducted a traffic stop on a red Saturn driven by
Stefanie Nicole McDaniel (33) for an equipment violation on Highway 98 and 4 th Street in Port
Saint Joe. A drivers license check revealed McDaniel was operating a motor vehicle with a
suspended drivers license. During the traffic stop McDaniel removed a plastic bag from her
pants and attempted to conceal it from Deputy Peek. The plastic bag contained marijuana and
drug paraphernalia. McDaniel was arrested and charged with Driving while License

Suspended or Revoked, Possession of Less Than 20 Grams of Marijuana and Possession of


Drug Paraphernalia. She was transported to the GCDF.
