under:
1.

That I am a student of Management Development Institute, Gurgaon in its

2. I shall facilitate, support and complement familiarization of juniors with the

academic environment of the institution.
3. As a bonafide student of this Institute, I am obliged to prevent the crime of
ragging against my juniors. I shall maintain decorum and shall not support
any atrocities in the name of fun.
4. I shall help my juniors in group academic tasks and will not exploit the
services of any fresher.
5. I shall not prevent, disrupt or disturb the regular activity of any other student
or a fresher.
6. I shall not indulge in any rowdy or undisciplined activity that causes or is
likely to cause annoyance, hardship, physical or psychological harm or to
raise fear or apprehension thereof in any fresher or any other student.
7. I shall not be involved in any act of physical abuse including all variants of it:
sexual abuse, homosexual assault, stripping, forcing obscene and lewd acts,
gestures, causing bodily harm or any other danger to health or person.
8. I shall not ask my juniors to perform any act that generates the effect of
shame or torment or embarrassment so as to adversely affect the psyche of
such fresher or student.
9. I shall not burden any fresher or any other student for forced expenditure.
10.I shall not abuse by spoken words, emails, posts, public insults which would
also include deriving perverted pleasure, vicarious or sadistic thrill from
actively or passively participating in the discomfort to fresher or any other
students.
11.I shall not indulge in any act that affects the mental health or self confidence
of a fresher or any other student with or without intent to derive a sadistic
pleasure or showing off power, authority, or superiority.
12.Neither I will indulge in crime of ragging nor will I initiate such act. I will not
encourage any such behavior which persuades ragging by definition.
13.That I am aware of the law regarding prohibition of ragging as well as the
punishments, and that if found guilty of the offence of ragging and /or
abetting ragging, I am liable to be punished accordingly.

14.If I notice the crime of ragging in any form I shall be responsible to inform the
authorities/Anti Ragging Committee against it.
15.I shall assist in the institutes efforts to prevent the crime of ragging and will
not defend against any raids, searches, or interrogation as and when
required.
16.I shall show willingness to be penalized for involvement in any act of ragging
or violating the rules against ragging.
17.If I am found involved in any crime of ragging I shall not resist any
punishment that may include the following -

Cancellation of my admission
Suspension from attending classes/seminars/conferences/placements
activities and final placements
Withholding/withdrawing scholarship/ fellowship and other benefits
Debarring from appearing in any test/examination in any regional,
national or international meet, tournament, youth festival, etc.
Suspension or expulsion from the institute
Rustication from the institute for a period from 1 to 4 trimesters
Expulsion from the institute and consequent debarring from admission to
any other Institution or University
When the persons committing or abetting the crime of ragging are not
identified, I will have no objection if the Institution resorts to collective
punishment against all the potential raggers.

4. I have fully understood that in case my son/daughter is found indulging or
involving in ragging within or outside the premises of the Institute, he/she
shall be appropriately punished for which he/she shall be solely responsible. I
or my son/daughter shall not hold liable the Institute or any of its officials for
any loss(s), damage(s) and shall not claim any compensation from the
Institute or its office bearers.
5. I shall not resist against any punishment given to my ward for being involved
in the crime of ragging.
