About MBSS
Malaysian Business Student Summit (MBSS) is an annual prestigious event organized by
University of Malaya Business Club since the year of 2012.
MBSS is a 4 days 3 nights summit that takes place annually for all undergraduates around the
globe, and is currently in its 5th year running since its inception.
MBSS 2016 is mainly targeting local and international undergraduates with any fields of studies
in Malaysia as well as Southeast Asia. More than 200 students, outstanding speakers, and reputable
panelists converge to exchange ideas and widen their network.
For the upcoming MBSS 2016, dealing with the theme of "Innovation, Entrepreneurship and
Synergism (I.E.S)", you will get the opportunity to discuss and discover the issues related to I.E.S.

Important Reminders
1. We would be appreciated if you could send your resume and passport size photo to
participantaffairs.mbss@gmail.com as soon as possible (Due date : 18th January 2016)
2. Participants are not encouraged to bring own transport to University of Malaya. Provided you have
solid reason of bringing your transport, kindly inform the Participant Affairs Department of your car
or motor plate number before 20th January 2016 in order for us to make arrangement for the
parking slot.

3. Kindly inform the Participant Affairs Department if you need the exemption letter before 20th
January 2016.

teambuilding program which designed with the objective to building trust among participants, instill selfconfidence, creative thinking skills, decision making skills, and to test leadership skills. Most importantly, having
fun !

It's a kind of banquet dinner with a specific theme given. All participants will enjoy the great dinner and some
performances. This is a great opportunity for the participants to get to know each other better and build strong
connection. Participants will dress according to theme (Western Retro Style 1950-1960) given, in order to create
a memorable and fun night.

Participants will have an expansive look into the roles of corporate in different industries. This team-based
simulation require participants to face real-world challenges. Participants also explore to key business concepts
such as marketing strategy, competitive responses, and managerial decision making skills.

INCLUSIVE BUSINESS
Inclusive business is a new business model introduced where it benefits the low income communities. It is a
sustainable business that keep its profit nature, but at the same, contributes to the reduction of poverty through
the involvement of the low come communities into few areas - consumers, producers, employees and suppliers.
The main objectives of inclusive business are to be financial sustainable, achieve socials goals and to serves the
bottom of pyramid.

ACCOMMODATION

Accommodation is provided from 25th January

2016 to 27th January 2016 (3 nights).

Accommodation is compulsory for all

participants and will be at Kolej Kediaman Tun
Syed Zahiruddin (KK9), University of Malaya.

TRANSPORTATION
Participants have to get their own transport to University of Malaya. However, transportation will be
provided throughout the summit.
Public Transportation to University of Malaya:
I. From KL Sentral
Participants may take the LRT (Kelana Jaya Line) from KL Sentral to Universiti Station, then take Rapid KL
(T789) to University of Malaya. Our committees will be waiting for you at the main library bus stop and
guide you to Kolej Kediaman Tun Syed Zahiruddin (KK9) .
II. From Bukit Jalil
Participants may take the LRT from Bukit Jalil Station to Masjid Jamek Station and transfer to Kelana Jaya
Line to Universiti Station. Upon reaching Universiti Station, participants may take Rapid KL buses (T789) to
reach University of Malaya.
III. From Putra Station
Participants may take the LRT from PWTC Station to Masjid Jamek Station and transfer to Kelana Jaya
Line to Universiti Station. Upon reaching Universiti Station, participants may take Rapid KL buses (T789) to
reach University of Malaya.

IV. From Titiwangsa

Participants may take the LRT from Titiwangsa Station to Masjid Jamek Station, then transfer to Kelana
Jaya line to Universiti Station. Upon reaching Universiti Station, participants may take Rapid KL buses
(T789) to reach University of Malaya.
V. From UKM/Nilai (KTM)
Participants may take the KTM to KL Sentral and then proceed to take LRT from KL Sentral to Universiti
Station. Upon reaching Universiti Station, participants may take Rapid KL buses (T789) to reach University
of Malaya.
VI. From Midvalley KTM Station
Participants may go to the North Court to take Rapid KL buses (T788) to reach University Station. Upon
reaching Universiti Station, participants may take Rapid KL buses (T789) to reach University of Malaya.

Participants are not allowed to leave without permission or any solid reasons.
Participants are required to switch off their mobile phones or turn them to silent mode during the
summit.
Participants are compulsory to participate and be punctual in all activities during the summit.
Participants are required to take care of their own belongings and keep the room clean.
Participants are not allowed to visit the rooms of the opposite gender.
Gambling, smoking, alcoholic beverages, political and immoral activities are strictly forbidden.
Vandalism and damage to university properties and the properties of others are strictly prohibited.
For the convenience of all participants, noise levels shall be kept at a minimum level especially past
midnight.
The organizer or any party involved in the MBSS 2016 shall not be held responsible for any losses or
any injuries / deaths incurred by participants during the event or after the event.
