Please be informed that consistent with the mandates of Republic Act No. 7160 otherwise known
as the Local Government Code of 1991 and Republic Act No. 7942, An Act Instituting a New System of
Mineral Resources Exploration, Development, Utilization, and Conservation of Mineral Resources and
Local Revenue Code of Bukidnon, the Provincial Government of Bukidnon is strengthening the
enforcement of small scale mining laws and regulations, particularly on the extraction, utilization and
conservation of sand and gravel and other quarry resources in the Province of Bukidnon.
As such, I would like to request a copy of the existing policies and guidelines regarding the
utilization of mineral resources such as, sand and gravel, boulders, limestone, and ordinary/unconsolidated
minerals affected by the infrastructure projects such as; road construction and rehabilitation.
