Jujun

Background of this research is as we know that English is imfortant subject


because English one of subject that takes in Nasional examination. English was
teaches to students since she was study at elementary school until university level.
In English learning there are sub-title of subject about conjunction. Conjunction
was teaches to student in MA Kerapatan Jujun especially in using subordinate
conjunction, Although student have learn about subordinate conjunction but there
are some student dont know how to use subordinate conjunction in a sentence,
base on the problem above student interest to do a reserach an titled students
ability in using conjunction at eleventh grade of MA Jujun.
The purpose the research in this is researcher want to know: 1. How does the
students ability in using subordinating conjunction at Eleventh Grade of MA
Jujun? 2. What is students problem in using subordinating conjunction at
Eleventh Grade of MA Jujun?
Design of this research is by using quantitative research method Horkheimer
state that quantitative research is prospect of analysing numerical data sends
shivers down the spines of many novice researchers who not only baulk at the
thought of statistics but also hold fundamental objections to what they see as the
mathematisation of nature2.The quantitative research is research that use
numerical analysis by giving percentage to every item of subordinate conjunction.
with total sample 35, that has got from student of Eleventh grade of MA Jujun and
the technique in collecting data were by using: fistl is test, before giveng test the
instument of colecting data must giving treatment such as validity test, reliability
test, level of dificulties, Second is Observation, in observation researcher observe
directly the object of the research. Third is documentation, the documentation is
take form MA Jujun and finally is Interview to the student as object of research.
The Analysis Data in this research which is done by some step that are: collecting
data, percentage and Data Display, conclusion.
After doing this research, researcher find that there are still some students
doesnt master subordinate conjunction, it is known form the result of the test. The
highest score is 94 its reach by Resmiyanti and the lowest score is reach by Muti
kumala sari, from 50 question was given by researcher she only can answer 5
question correctly and the score she get only 10. The highest percentage is 94 % it
mean they almost can use all kind of subordinate conjunction but the lowest is 10
% and than the average percentage for total number of conjunction that can use by
student are under 70 % and the problem pace by student in using subordinate
conjunction is they dont forget or remember a litle about subordinate conjuction
subject. Base on the result of the test researcher take a conclusion that student
ability in using conjunction is stage at middle level so the teacher of MA Jujun
must think more to create a good method in teaching subordinating conjunction
and reteach it to their student.

This thesis is a research about The Students Ability in Using Conjunction
at Eleventh Grade of MA Jujun Academic Year 2012-2014 Sungai Penuh. At the
wonderful moment, the Writer would like to thank so much to my big family;
father and mother, my brother. The Writer realize people have give contribution
and remark to complete this thesis, the Writer aware without helps of them writer
cant complete this thesis. So that in the wonderful moment I would like to
