Regulated Take-off and Landing Weight
1.
GENERAL
1.1 The maximum Take-off and landing mass to be calculated from the Airplane Flight
Manual for a given temperature and wind condition.
1.2 For STOL operations, take-off and landing weights must be provided for wind calm, 5
knots head/tail wind and 10 knots head/tail wind conditions.
1.3 Guidance material on the use of the templates must be included for the flight crew and
other operations personnel using the templates and must be a part of the initial and
recurrent trainings. All operators to use the following Templates as standard. The fields
indicated are the minimum information required, any other information required may be
made to suit individual aircraft or Type needs.
1.4 Reference material must be quoted when providing the data for the required fields eg.
Airplane Flight Manual, Chapter no. etc.
1.5 When a particular aeroplane is fitted with special equipment or is configured separately
in comparison to other aeroplanes of the same type in the fleet that significantly impacts
the take-off and landing weights, the Regn. No. of this aeroplane and its associated data
must be provided separately.
1.6 When providing the data, all the necessary corrections demanded by the Performance
Charts or the Tables of the AFM must be performed and only the net sum is to be
provided.
1.7 Taking 70 percent of the given Runway field length for the ground roll should ensure
reaching 50 feet above the end of the runway for take-off in most STOL fields under
optimum conditions.
