Outcome:
To learn what goes into a production (news or other) including pre-production, production, and post-production

1. Participate and watch in the recording and preparation for Brain Busters (a live-to-tape production)
2. Shadow various roles involved in different productions (producers, talent, etc.) to see their preparation
3. Assist in editing or other post-production activities

Outcome:
To learn how to direct and see what directing looks like and entails in a professional broadcast setting
Resources/Activities:
1. Shadowing the multiple directors and watch how they direct, seeing various styles
2. Receive training on the switcher
3. Direct a news cut-in or other type of small scale production (off-air)

1. Work samples (productions that I have directed)
2. Provide insights and explanation into directing in final web portfolio, evaluations/recommendations from
directors

Outcome:
To learn more about the television broadcast industry and the jobs that are available in this field
Resources/Activities:
1. Network with the different people in various positions in my department and have intentional conversations
2. Shadow all different roles in Technical Services department
3. Build relationships and ask questions about careers and roles to gain insight into their specific jobs

1. Obtain contact information, connect on LinkedIn so I will be able keep in touch
