TOPIC: HEALTHY EATING (balanced meals)
By the end of the lesson, students should be able to:
1. Name specific dishes
2. Pronounce the targeted vocabulary
3. Learn to use the correct sentence pattern talking about
favourite food
Time : 80 minutes
Activities:
Set induction: Draw students attention to the previously learnt
lesson
Step 1: Teacher draw the students attention to todays topic.
Teacher asks related questions.
Step 2 : Teacher read the tapescript. Students listen. In pairs,
students practice to say aloud the food items
Step 3 : Teacher introduces a fish bowl technique. Then,
students are asked to form two circles and face each other.
Teacher gives handouts on the sentence patterns that they
need to use in the discussion. (Refer to handouts)
Step 4: Students start the activities. Teacher facilitates.
