Dear Co-Worl-ers;

Praise God for bountiful blessings! As I write this newsletter

I am enroute, high above the U.S. countryside, to Afi-ica. At long
last this survey trip is more than a dream; it is a fact!

As you are reading this news I have already visited our mission
aries in at least two countrievS and made preliminary surveys in two
more where we have no missionaries.

The Lord blessed our preparations for the trip to completion, then
An ^''ew Year's :^ve, just hours from my departure, our telephone campaign
---^ourrirt-trr-^lp61jO~in pledges t"d be sent at once. This was just '" 28
more than the airplane ticket cost.

On faith 1 began my long journey with only f20 in hand, and over

^700 worth of current bills lying on my desk at horae. e must have

another '^1,000 at once! f 1,000 of the ;'"2,000 plus, that was available,
is a loan from a Christian (vjhich must be repaid soon).

^^ray-f-or^the trip and follow ua sten by step on this map.
