SYSTEM RE-SETTING
After installing the system, the following code should be keyed in to reset the system:
# 1234 + 1 #
Care should be taken to use this command. This command erases all the class of service of Junction and
extension and brings the system to initial status.
Another reset command is available to reset the system without effecting the class of service, key in the
following code:
# 1234 + 1
Certain features are non-programmable (fixed) and common to all extensions. Some features are
programmable and vary for each extension. These features can be set using any one of the extensions at
site. However in such case the user must use a password before keying in any programming. The systems
initial password is # 1234. The initial password can be changed.
The password should be kept confidential to prevent misuse. One or two responsible persons should be
aware of the password and be allowed to re-program if the need arises. A new program will automatically
erase the earlier programming.
There are three types of system programs Exchange status, Junction status and Extension status. The
programming of both exchange and all extensions can be from any one of the extensions having tone
(DTMF) dialling instrument.
Programmer while programming should take care of the following points:
1. Password should be keyed in before each programming step.
2. After correct password is keyed in, dial tone of the system will return indicating entry of correct password.
Wrong password entry will give a busy tone.
3. Direct access of feature should be used for the extension barred from 0 group or 9 group or both. The
off feature will not be effective if a defined extension is allowed to make local calls from Junction lines.
4. While programming for Restricted table and Denied table, clear the table as per code given:
Password + 15 and Password + 16
NOTE: 1 # (System reset) will not clear the tables.
5. While programming, all extensions should not be in On-Hook condition (not in use). It is desirable to
program the system by just connecting one extension. Junction lines and extensions can be hooked up
subsequently.
EXCHANGE STATUS
Password + 10 + 0/1
Keep the handset
NOTE: This feature should be used only if proper battery back up or Uninterrupted Power Supply is used with
the system.
DENIED TABLE
This table defines the starting dialling codes for Local/STD/ISD, which are not permitted for dialling out by
extensions that are in denied mode.
PROCEDURE
Password + 16 + Area code
Keep the handset
NOTE: By dialling 16 , Denied table will be cleared
Before creating Restricted and Denied table, always clear the initial factory set table by dialling 15 and 16 .
The initial factory set Denied table is 0 & 1 and Restricted table is 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9.
As per the factory set Denied table user will be denied STD and numbers starting with digit 1.
GLOBAL DIALLING
This feature provides a memory bank for dialling frequently required telephone numbers. 30 telephone
numbers can be stored in case of 308K and 100 telephone numbers can be stored in case of 616, which can
be dialled from any extension.
The three digit code for dialling these numbers are 700 - 729 (29 codes in case of 308K) and 700 - 799 (99
codes in case of 616).
PROCEDURE
Password + 17 + cc + Trk + Area code + Tel. No. + Hook-Flash
Keep the handset
Where cc = 00 - 99 (code)
Trk = Junction Access code
Tel. No. = Telephone number to be stored
Area code = STD or ISD code proceeding telephone number
NOTE: Area code + Tel. No. can be upto 32 digits
If you want to store more then one number press Hook-Flash in between numbers.
For e.g.: If the numbers to be stored are 6843228, 022-501669, 044-453273, 011-635390, then key in:
Password + 17 + 00 + 0 + 6843228 + Hook-Flash + 17 + 01 + 0 + 022 + 501669 + Hook-Flash
+ 17 + 02 + 0 + 044 + 453273 + Hook-Flash + 17 + 03 + 0 = 011 + 635390 and so on
Now when you lift the handset and dial 700, the exchange will dial the number 6843228 and when you dial
703, it will dial 011-635390.
HOOK-FLASH TIMING
In 616 Hook-Flash timing is programmable. If the telephone flash time is 650 mill seconds, then the system
extension flash time should be set to 650 mill seconds so that calls are not disconnected while transferring.
PROCEDURE
Password + 1 + + 1 + (time 0.1) + 1(In case of 616)
Password + 1 + + 1 + Ext (time 0.1) + 1(In case of 308K)
Time = Hook-Flash time in mill seconds
PAGING
For paging facility one Junction port will be connected to an amplifier. This will reduce one Junction line
capacity of the system.
PROCEDURE
Password + 19 + Trk
EXTENSION STATUS
BARGE-IN TONE
Normally when A is talking to B and C wants to barge-in, all three will hear a warning tone. However if C is
set for barge-in tone OFF condition then C will be able to barge-in without triggering a warning tone. This
can be programmed by the following procedure:
Password + 54 + Ex + 0/1
Keep the handset
0 = Barge-In tone Off
1 = Barge-In tone On
For e.g.: If extension 36 is to be given the facility of barge-in without warning tone, then dial:
Password + 54 + 36 + 0
Keep the handset
If later the status is to be changed to Barge-in with warning tone On, then dial:
Password + 54 + 36 + 1
Keep the handset
Default: Barge-In tone ON
DIRECT ACCESS ON/OFF
In addition to accessing Junction lines by dialling 0, Extensions can also access a defined Junction line by
dialling the Junction number.
PROCEDURE
Password + 57 + Ex + 0/1
Keep the handset
0 = Direct access Off
1 = Direct access On
For e.g. : If extension 35 is to be allowed to access Junction lines directly, then dial the following:
Password + 57 + 35 + 1
Keep the handset
After this programming if extension 35 user dials 24,2529, he will get access to a defined Junction line.
NOTE: When group 0 access is allowed, direct access is automatically allowed and programming a denial
will not change the status. If group 0 access is denied to an extension, direct access can still be permitted to
that extension.
EXTENSION OUT OF SERVICE
If any of the extension has not been connected to the system, then it is said to be out of service.
This status must be programmed into the exchange otherwise the system will keep giving a ring back tone if
such extension is dialled.
PROCEDURE
Password + 50 + Ex + 0/1
Keep the handset
Where, Ex = Extension number
0 = Out of service
1 = In service
For e.g.: If extension 36 is out of service, then dial:
Password + 50 + 36 + 0
Keep the handset
Now if anybody dials extension 36, he will get an engage tone.
When subsequently, an instrument is connected to extension 36 then its in service status needs to be
programmed and is done by dialling:
Password + 50 + 36 + 0
Keep the handset
JUNCTION GROUP 0 ON/OFF
To allow/disallow access to Junction lines in group 0 dial the following:
Password + 55 + Ex + 0/1
JUNCTION STATUS
The Junction status can be programmed as per the model selected by you. If the Junction line is Tone, Pulse
or out of service it must be clearly set for its respective dialling status.
PROCEDURE
Password + 1 + + 2 + Trk + 0/1/2
Keep the handset
Where, 1 2 = Junction status to be set
Trk = Junction access code
0 = Out of service
1 = Tone
2 = Pulse
For e.g.: If Junction line 26 is out of service, then dial:
Password + 1 + + 2 + 26 + 0
Keep the handset
NIGHT RING GROUP
If the system is in night mode, an incoming call on any Junction line will make specified extensions ring
simultaneously. These specified extensions are called the night ring group.
PROCEDURE
Password + 12 + Ext1 + Ext2 + Ext3 + Ext4 + Ext5 + Ext6 + Ext7 + Ext8
Keep the handset
For e.g.: If you want extension 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 36, 37, 38 to ring when there is an incoming call on any of
the Junction lines in night mode, then dial:
Password + 12 + 30 + 31 + 32 + 33 + 34 + 36 + 37 + 38
Keep the handset
PAUSE (Only for 616)
This feature is useful when Junction lines have delayed dial tone i.e. dial tone is heard after sometime.
During Redial and Global dialling, exchange will introduce pause i.e. time gap of 15 seconds before actual
dialling.
PROCEDURE
Password + 23 + Trk + 1/0
Where, Trk = Junction access code
1 = With pause dialling
0 = Without pause dialling
NOTE: After System reset all the Junction lines are without a pause.
INCOMING LINE - RESERVED
Junction lines can be reserved for incoming calls only.
PROCEDURE
Password + 21 + Trk + 0/1
keep the handset
Trk = Junction access code
0 = Allow Incoming/Outgoing
1 = Allow incoming only
SERVICE GROUP SELECTION
In normal mode, an incoming call on any Junction line will make a set of extensions ring one after another.
Each extension rings for 20 seconds before it rings on another extension. This set of extension (maximum 8)
can be different for each Junction line and is called the service group for that Junction line.
PROCEDURE
Password + 22 + Trk + Ext1 + Ext2 + Ext3 + Ext4 + Ext5 + Ext 6 + Ext7 + Ext8
Keep the handset
where, Junction line number is 27,28,29 for 308K &
Junction Line number are 24,25,2629 for 616
