(Action Research)
Consultation Time: 3:00-4:00
Venue: Education Faculty Office
I. Course Description: This course is designed to provide the student a working knowledge of research methodology as applied to action research, to enable him to
effect improvements of himself and his work. It attempts to introduce to the student the basic concepts, principles and procedures of action research for application
in his profession.
II. Objectives:
At the end of the course, students are expected to:
1. Manifest knowledge and understanding of basic concepts, principles and procedures of action research;
2. Solve problems through research based on true and honest facts;
3. Engage in research studies of their own and/or in collaboration with colleagues in an educational setting; and
4. Exhibit a positive attitude towards research as a means of improving efficiency and effectiveness in their work.
III. Credit: one (1) unit
IV. Time allotment: 18 hrs. (One hour per week)

- A rating of at least 73% in all quizzes and tests/ examinations

- A written complete report of an original action research
- Attendance of not less than 80% of the total number of hours. ( Absences should not be more than 11 hours/ meetings)
