Orleans Niagara BOCES (2009-Present)
Leadership
o As a tenured Principal have provided leadership for the daily operations of a school with
approximately 1,150 students 42% being classified special education in 27 different
vocational programs, from 10 component school districts.
o Completed an instructional re-structuring of Niagara Career and Technical Education
Center (NCTEC).
o Provided guidance and leadership through the New York State re-approval process of 17
of our career and technical education programs.
o Facilitated and implemented the Tech Centers the Work initiative.
o Collaborate and maintain relations with component districts Administrators, Special
Education Departments (CSE), and Counselors.
o Establish partnerships with various businesses to offer educational opportunities and
resources for students enrolled in career and technical education programs.
o Conduct monthly faculty and committee meetings with focus on safety, staff
development and professional development.
o Developed and implemented Teacher Improvement Plans.
o Responsible for the overall planning and implementation of staff development days.
o Developed, implemented and supervised a Middle School Summer Camp for grades 5-8.
o Established a Professional Learning Communities group for new teachers.
Fiscal Management
o Develop and monitor a 6.2 million dollar budget.
o Coordinate requisitions, approve expenditures based on programmatic and/or fiscal
considerations.
Personnel Management
o Responsible for recruitment, interviewing, hiring and supervision of instructional
associates, classified and certified staff.
o Mentored and trained new CTE administrators.
o Conduct all performance reviews for instructional associates, classified and certified
staff.
Collective Bargaining Experience
o Advise and Negotiate key points and considerations for contract meetings.
