Firststep,
CreatetwoshortcutsforyourCATIAbecauseoneofthemitwillbeCATIAadmin,andtheotherwillbeyour
regularenvironment.
InyourCATIAshortcutdoRMBonitandselectproperties,thencopywhatisintheTargetfieldandpasteiton
wordpadortexteditor,soyoucanseebetterandmakethechanges.

Hereanexamplehowitwilllooklikewhenyoucopy/pasteinwordpad:
C:\ProgramFiles\DassaultSystemes\B17\intel_a\code\bin\CATSTART.exerunCNEXT.EXEenv

Now,youwillneedtomakeanothershortcutforyourCATIAAdminbecauseyouwillmakesomechangesfor
theCATIAAdmin(NametheshortcutasCATIAAdmin).Onceyoudotheshortcut,dolikethepreviousstep
andaddadminafterCNEXT.EXE

Now,youcancopytheoneyouchangedandpasteonyourTargetfield.So,wheneveryouwanttoaccess
CATIAasAdminyoujustdoubleclickonyournewshortcut(CATIAAdmin)butbeforeyoudothatyouhave
todoanotherchangeonCATEnvironnent.
Secondstep,
youwillmakechangesinCATEnvironment
YoucanfindyouCATenvironmentfromaboveinformation.BasedonaboveexampletheCATenvlocation
is:
C:\DocumentsandSettings\AllUsers\ApplicationData\DassaultSystemes\CATEnv
Andyourfilenamewillbe:
CATIA_P3.V5R17.B17(thisfilewillbewith.txtextension)

Now,onthisfileyoucanaddallyourCATIAvariablesyouneed.Inourexampleherewewilladdtwopaths
pointingtotwonewfoldersthatwewillcreateitnowforourCATIAadmin.Createthefollowingtwofoldersin
samedirectorythatyourCATEnvtxtlocated.
1firstfolder:IwillnamethisfolderasAdminCATSettingsbecausethiswillbetheCATsettinglocationfor
ourCATIAAdmin.
2secondfolder:IwillnamethisfolderasAdminStandardsbecausethisiswhereitwillgothexmlfilewhenI
makesomechangesonthestandardsforthedraftingworkbench.ForinstanceIwillbeabletochangethe
defaultsizetextandfontsformydrawing,thesechangeswillgotothexmlfileandsaved.
Now,openyourCATEnvironmenttxtandfindwhereissays

CATReferenceSettingPath=(inhereyouwillneedtoputyourCATsettingpathfolderthatwecreatedbefore)
Thesecondfile(AdminStandards)shouldbepointedthroughthefollowingvariable
CATCollectionStandard=(putthepathforyourfolderhere)

defaultstandards.
