Instructions
1. Lay pattern paper on sewing machine cover and trace front, back and sides. Allow ¾” seam
and cut out pattern.

2. Lay pattern on Linen Look Fabric and cut out.

3. Sew sides together to form sewing machine cover. Sew a ¼” shirttail hem around bottom of
cover.

4. Trace and cut out two each of the heart pocket pattern and the scissors pocket pattern.

5. Sew around edges of heart pocket and the scissors pocket, right sides facing together, leaving
a 2” opening. Turn and press. Hand sew opening closed.

6. Preheat dry iron to wool setting. Peel backing paper from crown and fleur-de-lis designs.
Position on pockets, plastic side up. Cover with thin pressing cloth. Press and hold iron over
design for 30 seconds. Let cool. Remove plastic. Turn inside out. Iron back of design for 15-20
seconds.

7. Pin scissors pocket to the front of the cover, 3” above the hem. Sew a ¼” topstitch on the sides
and bottom of pocket.

8. Pin heart pocket to the front of cover, 4” above the hem. Sew a ¼” topstitch from side to side,
leaving the top open.

9. Glue black trim around edges of pockets, pinning in place until set.

10. Glue trims around hem of machine cover as shown, pinning in place until set.

11. Roll extra fabric into a rose, hand sewing in place. Sew to the base of the scissors pocket for a
pincushion.

12. Sew a 10” loop of fabric to the top of the machine cover if desired.
