Maybe you're here today and you're angry at God. Things

haven't gone the way you wanted, planned, or thought. You
may even be asking, "Why did God allow this to happen to
me, or to my family and friends?" In today's text Paul is
speaking to the believers at the church in Rome. As their
pastor, he is addressing their present suerings that they
are experiencing. Daily suerings such as: sickness, injury,
natural disaster, financial loss, poverty, hunger, and death.

In our text, Paul is writing to give them a message of hope.

He's teaching the believers that God's comfort is founded
in His character. God wants to impart His character to us.
And no true believer would want it to be any other way.
Perhaps you are here this morning and you are suering.
We are encouraged to persevere life's diculties and
suerings until the very end. The good news is that there is
hope. Christ is our hope. Let's look together at Romans 8
and find the hope and encouragement God's Word has for
us.

Christmas in July

Operation Christmas Child boxes will be collected today! Be

encouraged to pray for the child receiving your box. Our goal is to
collect 250 boxes in July!

Important:
1. Donate $7 online and receive a tracking label to Follow Your
Box and discover the destination of your shoebox gift. Please
do not include checks since they may not be valid by the time
the boxes get processed.

2. Check product expiration dates, especially for toothpaste.

Dates should be May 2017 or later.

Youth Takeover Sunday

SAVE THE DATE: August 14 is Youth Takeover Sunday! Students:
please be prepared to be present at both 9:30 and 11:15 services.

Picnic Sunday

Our church-wide Picnic Sunday will be August 21 at 12:30 pm!

Please sign up to bring a side dish or dessert at the Welcome
Center. We will have ONE church gathering that Sunday at 10:30
AM.

Decision America Prayer Night

Join us Wednesday, August 24 at 6:00 pm for a special prayer
meeting to pray in support of the August 25th Franklin Graham
Decision America New York rally in Albany. Our regular prayer
meeting will be a Pot-luck supper! Bring a meal for you, your
family, and others. We look forward to enjoying fellowship and
praying together! Begin praying for this night and how you can
