PETREVEN, TEN YEARS OF DRILLING

Drilling works mainly performed in South America, with zero accidents on the worksite.
Petreven, a company of the Trevi Group which is specialized in drilling services, has reached the 10th
year of activity.
An important anniversary because its supported by several and important acknowledgments, not only
for the wonderful performances reached, but especially for the high standards achieved in the field
of environmental protection and safety. These results witness the validity of the choice made by the
company which was just established at that time, that is, to exclusively use the new systems developed
and produced by Drillmec (another company of the Trevi Group): automatic hydraulic rigs that are
extremely innovative compared to the technologies already available on the market.
But lets start from the beginning: it was the 16th June 1999, when, at 11.00 p.m. oclock, the Petreven
G200 rig officially begun its drilling activity on the Venezuelan ground. The work was accomplished by
Petreven skilled operators on behalf of the Venezuelan company PDVSA (Petroleo de Venezuela S.A.),
and precisely on the ORC 20 well, in the Orocual Field.
During these intense first 10 years of activity, mainly performed in Venezuela, Colombia, Peru and
Argentina, Petreven has drilled nearly 1.111 wells, for a total amount of 4.742.813 feet of depth (equal
to 1.446 km). Said numbers are even more relevant if compared with those related to the accidents on
the work sites. In over six years of activity in Colombia, Petreven stands out for not having recorded any
accidents, hence avoiding delays on set working times (LTA=0).
These excellent results have been achieved thanks to the professionalism and the passion of the whole
Petreven staff so highly appreciated and thanked by the Director and the whole Board of Directors
to the extent that new and interesting opportunities are envisaged in Saudi Arabia, Brazil and Nigeria.
