ZXDU68 T601(V5.0R01M01) DC Power System

Uninstalling/Installing the CSU and Rectifier (Hot-pluggable)

Before installing the equipment, refer to the ZXDU68 T601 (V5.0R01M01) DC Power System User
Guide to learn the system structure.
Never wear watches, hand chains, rings or other conductive objects during the operation. Wear
special gloves for protection.

Installing the Rectifier

1

Never install the equipment in the place where there is water vapors or liquid drops. Ensure that
no water drops, metal pieces or any other foreign object fall into the cabinet. Otherwise, short
circuits may occur and damage the equipment. Do not place heavy objects on top of the cabinet.
Unfasten the bolts
anticlockwise.

(1) Use batteries of the same type. Do not use old and new batteries together. (2) Battery packs
are the energy-storing equipment. Never short-circuit them in any way during the operation.
Always use an insulating tool for electrical connections. Make sure that the connecting terminals
and unnecessarily exposed parts are properly insulated.

Be careful of your hands!

Unfasten the bolts

anticlockwise.

(1) The cross-sectional area of cables should match the load. (2) When using cables in nonstandard colors, choose those in black and mark them with heat-shrinkable tubes or insulating
tapes in the corresponding colors to avoid confusion. If the local regulations have different
requirements for the cable colors, follow the local regulations.

Be careful of your hands!

The X10 interface provides 4 input relays (default state: closed). Users can set the
alarm grades of these input relays through the CSU, which is described in section 13
Setting Attributes of Input Relays.

Connecting cables: According to the connection relations below, connect the

working ground (GND) and load cables.
For the load cables, refer to the following rules:
Connect primary loads to the BLVD branch.
Connect loads that need low temperature shutdown protection to the LLVD1
branch. The loads of the BLVD branch have no this protection.
The load capacity connected to each DC output branch cannot exceed the breaker
capacity (or the fuse capacity). It is suggested to keep certain redundancy to prevent
power supply interruption for the loads due to the breaker trip (or the fuse blow). For
example, if the capacity of a breaker is 32 A, it can connect a load with the peak
capacity of 25 A or less.

3.1 Installing the Battery Packs

4

While using IP/SNMP networking, connect the network cable to the Ethernet
interface of the CSU.
The X24, X25, X26 and X27 interfaces provide 8 output relays together. Each output
relay has two kinds of contacts, normally open (NO) and normally closed (NC). Pay
attention to their differentiation during the cable connection. The output relays (A1 to
A6) support alarm customization, which is described in section 12 Setting Output
Relays of Alarms.

1. Use an extractor to unplug the DC output fuses in the cabinet.

2. Turn off the DC output breakers.

Install 24 battery cells (2 V/cell) onto the battery rack and connect plates between
two adjacent cells. Reserve one plate for later connection (connect this reserved
plate after the battery cables are connected to the system). Use the same
method to install the other battery pack.

On the BACK board are the various signal interfaces (as shown below).
Connect signal cables to the corresponding interfaces according to the
monitoring and remote networking requirements.

Setting Output Relays of Alarms (Optional)

The table below describes setting requirements for the basic parameters. Set these
parameters correctly according to the actual use of the equipment. Wrong settings will
affect the CSU management of the system including the batteries and cause alarm errors.
The ZXDU68 T601 (V5.0R01M01) DC Power System User Guide provides more
parameters. Please inquire your engineering supervisor about the necessity to modify these
parameters.

Refer to the ZXDU58/ZXDU68 CSU500 (V1.0) Centralized Supervision Unit Alarm List to check
the default output relays of alarms and modify them based on the actual requirements.
Record the used output relays and the corresponding alarms in the ZXDU58/ZXDU68 CSU500
