Function, symbol, section

The reservoir oil filler/breathers, type ELF basically comprises
of an air filter for filtering the air flowing into the reservoir and a
filler sieve for retaining coarse dirt particles while filling.

Symbol
With clogging
indicator version "K"
(only build size 7)

The reservoir breathers, types BF and BL are, however only air

filters.
Reservoir filler/breather type ELF
Reservoir filler/breathers, type ELF are combined air filters for
filtering air flowing into the fluid reservoir and filler sieves for
retaining coarse dirt particles when filling.

Type ELFP 3...

The large sieve area allows the pressure fluid to be rapidly

filled.

Types ELFP 3... and ELFP 4...

These basically comprise of filter cap (1), air filter element (2),
filler sieve (3) and security chain (4).
Air enters via holes (5) on the underside of filter cap (1). In this
way, only particles suspended in air may enter the air filter
element (2), where they are separated according to the filter
rating.

Type ELFP 5...

1.1
Type ELFP 5...
These basically comprise of an air filter housing (cover 1.1;
lower component 1.2), air filter element (2) and filler sieve
which is screwed onto the air filter (3).

1.2
2

Air enters via the ring gap (5) between cover 1.1 and the lower
component 1.2. In this way, only particles suspended in air
may enter the air filter element (2), where they are separated
according to the filter rating.

They are fitted with replaceable air filter elements (2).

Type ELFP 7...

These basically comprise of an air filter housing (cover 1.1,
lower component 1.2), air filter element (2) and filler sieve (3).
Cover (1.1) and the lower component (1.2) are made of glass
fibre reinforced plastic and connected to each other via
threads. Air enters via openings (5) on the sides of lower
component (1.2).
In this way, only particles suspended in air may enter the air
filter element (2), where they are separated according to the
filter rating.

Type ELFP 7...K...

1.1
5
1.2

They are fitted with replaceable air filter elements (2).

For the monitoring of element contamination, the filters are
available with a pressure gauge (6).

Function, symbol, section

Reservoir breathers BF and BL
Reservoir breathers, type BF are only designed as
air filters and are screwed directly onto the reservoir.
In principle, the function of these filters
is the same as the ELF filler/breather.
The difference is in that the filling
sieve is not included.

Type BL breathers comprise

of a mounting stud (6) which
is fitted onto the reservoir
and a filter cartridge (2). The
filter cartridge screws onto
the stud.

Build sizes 5 and 7 are

equipped with replaceable
air filter elements.
