COURSEDESCRIPTION

Principles of Management Accounting is a foundation level course which introduces students to basic managerial accounting
conceptsandtoolsusedbycorporatemanagersforintelligentanalysis,planning,controlanddecisionmaking.Theemphasisinthis
courseishowbasicaccountingdataconvertsintoessentialmanagementinformationthusformingthebasisfordecisionmaking
within an organization. Key topics include cost elements, cost behavior, marginal and absorption costing, budgeting, variance
analysis,relevantandirrelevantcostfordecisionmaking.
