In the beginning of the semester I have finished two map assignments. The assignments
helped me to understand more about the weather and the climate on the earth locally. It also
helped me to develop to research skills and data collection the most. I gained more experience in
researching because in order to understand the map and the location of the map weather and
problem I have to do a lot of research to know. Doing this assignment helped me with my
reading academic skill a lot. I am an ESL student, so reading is my weakness, but the
assignments makes me read a lot and I learned a lot of new vocabulary. The more I read the more
vocabulary I gained My learning goals for my next assignment is try to get better grades than the
last one, because my first map was not very good. I was having trouble with finding the climate
change map sets. I tried all the tools and different websites to find the original map for the first
map that I did, but there is too less information for me to use, some of the hazard topics in the
first map was too hard to find. When it comes to the second map, it got easier for me to do
because the topic had more things to write about and it happened frequently so I have more
information to write about. For the first map project, I did it earlier so I have time to send email
for the professor to ask more question so I could have better grade.
