j. The branch pipe line of diameter DN600 mm which will be connecting to

Ground Injection wells#1-2 & 3-4 has to be pass through the Metal Door of
boundary wall, that door has to be modified as per pipe size and arrange the
suitable step access through that door and at same time the underneath
diameter DN600 GRP pipe to be protected.
k. Construct and install the pipe lines as per approved drawing for to
interconnect the all three Tie in points.
l. Line dewatering /standby diesel pumps to be arranged by the contractor for his
work.
m. With NTPS pump station submersible pumps, carry out the commissioning
activity and line testing of all pipe line to GI wells#1-2, 3-4 and tanker filling
stations.

4.1.2 To supply, construct / install & commission of 2 decanter units & GRP pipeline
from SAS Tanks A & B to the manhole connected to RLPS.
Project Background: There are (2) two nos. of SAS BT at Doha South STP , these tanks
receives the SAS wasting from SBR and ASP . A temporary decanting system by means of hoses
and pump are installed at each tank, this however is not capable of removing water fast enough
to minimize the decanting time.
Project Objective: The objective of this project is to provide a dedicated decanting system for
each SAS tank (2 number) with a flow of 100 liters per second from each tank, decanting phase
will not be at the same time. The contractor will install a floating decanter with accessories
including pipe works. The decanter should have enough specification which can overcome the
loss on the pipe maintaining the desire flow rate.
Project Scope:
a. Make a site visit prior before quotation submission.
b. Conduct assessment of job.
c. Prepare detail construction shop drawing, get it approve drawing & the list of
items in BOQ with detail specification and procure the material required for
construction.
d. Arrange necessary resource for work execution including work permit
e. Underground utility and any interference equipment has to be protected.
f. Supply and inst
g. Tie in connection work & Interconnection of tie in point connection works are
to be done by stages by stages and once ready discharge point, then, connect
all discharge points, this is due to plant operability issue.
h. Carryout the laying, construction/Installation of GRP pipe with proper
supports, do the line testing for leaks.

i. Carryout the Tie in works for the SAS TANK#A , B & Man hole chamber.
j. Then interconnect all Tie in works & pipe line. Commission the entire pipe
line. If it is acceptable then, back fill the area, compact and then, place all
interlock bricks.
k. Line dewatering /standby diesel pumps to be arranged by the contractor for his
work.
l. Only 1 SAS BT tank will be made available for the contractor to work on at
anytime one time. The contractor must plan to reduce to an absolute minimum
the amount of time an individual SAS BT tank is tanked out of service during
the installation phase
Functional specification of floating decanter system is as follows :i) The 2 decanting systems must be supplied from a renowned European, American, Australian
or New Zealand supplier of such systems. References for a minimum 2 locations where the
proposed equipment has been installed and is in current use should be provided, including the
contact email and phone numbers of the site managers. A system such as the Aquasystems
International NV Aqua Decant Floating Decanter System or equivalent should be proposed by
the contractor. Veolia does not recommend this specific decanter but is rather trying to show the
type of system that is sought, there are many on the market and the contractor should propose the
model they feel most suitable following their site visit. A decanting system of the contractors
own design will not be considered.
ii) The decant system should be a pumped system, gravity systems will not be accepted.
iii) The floating decanter system should include for a sludge detector to stop the pump when the
sludge level is reached
iv) The floating decanter system should include functionality to isolate the decant line when the
sludge level is detected
v) The SAS tank will be aerated during periods when decanting does not take place, aeration is
estimated to be for 20-22 hours per day.
vi) Decanting rate from each SAS tank should be 100 liters per second at the point of discharge.
Only one SAS BT tank will ever decant at one time.
viii) The decanting systems should be installed with all reasonable measures to allow for ease of
operation and maintenance

ix) Local HMI should be installed in the Thickener building A MCC to allow operator control of
both decanting systems. HMI to show pump status, outlet valve status, faults, pump run time for
each decanting session and any other pertinent information for system operation
x) Decanting system should be designed to a) be started manually by the operator from the HMI
when the operator wants decanting to start b) decanting should automatically stop when either
sludge is detected, bottom water level is reached or manually by the operator
Electrical
Power for the system will be taken from the Thickening building A MCC, which has a 100A
MCCB feeder
MCC to feed the decanting unit and all associated Electrical Equipments
LCP-PLC for controlling the decanting unit Automation
Field Cabling for all Power, Control, Signal, Lighting, Earthing shall be considered as required,
including cable laying underground in excavated trench, back filling, compaction, reinstating the
FF as earlier / above ground using trays / ducts, etc as per QCS2014.
Lighting on top of each SAS BT to allow visual inspection of water level in hours of darkness
Earthing for the all Electrical & Instrumentation units of the decanting unit

IA STW:- To Supply, Install & commission of GRP pipeline to connect FEPS

pump station to Ground injection wells 1 & 2 along with valves, Strainer &
Pressure reducing valve.

Project Background: There are (2) two nos. of Ground injection wells in The Industrial
Area STW, both are fed from final effluent pumping station. 2 future ground injection
wells provision are in place.
Project Objective: The objective of this project is to replace the existing temporary GI
line connecting FEPS discharge line to the ground injections 1, 2 with new GRP lines as
specified sizes and lengths in attached design sketch drawings.
Project Scope:
a. Make a site visit prior before quotation submission.
b. Conduct assessment of job.
c. Prepare detail construction shop drawing, get it approve drawing & the list of
items in BOQ with detail specification and procure the material required for
construction.
d. Arrange necessary resource for work execution including work permit
e. Underground utility and any interference equipment have to be protected.
f. Tie in connection work & Interconnection of tie in point connection works are
to be done by stages by stages and once ready all discharge points, then,
connect all discharge points, this is due to plant operability issue.
