diseasemaybeoneofthebitterfruitsofsenility.Werecentlyhadtheopportunitytoseeapatientwho
harvestedthisfruitprematurely.Webelievethisrepresentstheonlycasereportedinayoungpersonwhich
wasdocumentedbybiopsymaterial.

ReportofCaseA35yearoldCaucasiansailorwasadmittedtotheUSArmyTriplerGeneralHospital
becauseofseverelefttemporalheadacheofseveralhours'duration.Concomitantly,thepatientnoted
throbbingandtendernessinthesamearea.Intheprevioustwomonths,hehadsustaineda12lb(5.4kg)
weightloss,frequentnightsweats,andintermittentpaininthelefttemporomandibularjoint.Physical
examinationrevealedatemperatureof98.2F(36.8C)pulse,88bloodpressure,100/82.Adilated,
pulsatingvessel,exhibitingrednessandwarmth,wasnotedinthe
