careerdevelopmentneeds.Thispresentationdiscussesthefeatures,outcomes,and

lessonsoftheExploratoryPlan,establishedin2009,alongwithpracticaltipsonhowto
adapttheplantoyourcampus.
In2009,aregionalcomprehensive,publicuniversityintheMidwestcreateda
multifacetedplantoassiststudentsenteringtheuniversitywithoutadeclaredmajoror
withoutbeingacceptedintotheirintendedmajor.Theplanwasconstructedtoextend
beyondselectingamajor,toequippingstudentswithselfunderstanding,knowledge,
andskillstonavigatetheirlife/career.Presenterswilldescribethesuccessfulplan,
outcomes,andlessonslearnedanddrawconnectionsbetweenthiscomprehensive
approachandlifedesigndiscourse(Savickas,2012).
Theplanwasgroundedinconstructivistandnarrativeapproachestocareer
interventioninordertoreachthediversestudentbodyservedbytheinterventions.
Theplanisorientedtoassistingthestudentsinansweringthequestion,whatdoI
